It all comes down to this...

[Aiden]

Aiden smiled shortly.  "Thank you." He said to both of them.  He squeezed Stacey's hand and smiled kindly back to her.

Stacey smiled back at Aiden, a real smile, filled with obvious love.

James saw the look on his daughter`s face. He sighed softly. "Well, we`d better get going, then." He announced.

Stacey snapped back and nodded quickly. "Yes, Aiden, unfortunatly, you`ll have to meet my mom sooner or later." She said, knowing her father wouldn`t say anything.

[Aiden]

Aiden nodded.  It didn't seem so bad now that he had met Stacey's father.  "Alright.  So, where are we going now?"  He asked.

"Home." James replied before Stacey could. "You are planning to stay with us, aren`t you?" He asked.

"Of course he is, Dad." Stacey said sternly. As James turned to walk back to the car, Stacey rolled her eyes and leaned closer to Aiden. "Parents." She whispered in his ear.

[Aiden]

Aiden smiled and leaned in a little closer as they walked back to the car.   "Eh, he doesn't seem so bad."  He commented quietly.

Stacey smiled evily. "Just wait until you meet my mom." She let go of Aiden`s hand to get in the red Volvo. James looked in the rear-veiw mirror and adjust it slightly. She rolled her eyes again.

[Aiden]

Aiden watched Stacey roll her eyes.  He found all of this amusing, since he had no parents of his own.  He clicked on his seatbelt and held Stacey's hand, laying it on the seat beside him.

Stacey looked down at the interlocked hands and smiled. She moved over an inch so she couldn`t be seen in the mirror by her father. She gently squeezed Aiden`s hand.

[Aiden]

Aiden lookede at Stacey and smiled back a kind smile.  He looked up at her dad then out the window.  He turned back to Stacey and squeezed her hand as well.

Stacey muffled a giggle and quickly looked out the window as her father readjusted the mirror. She moved again and ran her cool fingers over the back of Aiden`s hand.

[Aiden]

Aiden tried to keep from laughing.  He waited for her dad not to look, and winked at her playfully.

Stacey pursed her lips together to keep from laughing. After a moment, she flicked Aiden`s shoulder gently, but enough for him to feel it.

[Aiden]

Aiden shook his head childishly.  He looked up at her dad, making sure hadn't moved the mirror.  Aiden squeezed Stacey's hand.

Stacey smiled childishly and made her eyes big. After a few minutes she squeezed his hand again.

Aiden looked at their hands.  He then inched a little closer to Stacey with a mischevious expression on his face.
