"A little. Are you going to tell me what's going on or do I have to keep waiting?" Seth said, smirking.

Alice smiled, and part of it was just becasue he had smiled.

"Well, I thought we could go to a nice dinner. And maybe dance, too." She looked up at him from under her lashes.

[Sky]

Seth raised a brow.
"But you don't..er...eat." He said. "I feel weird being the only 'food eater'."

Alice nodded, leading Seth down the sidewalk. There were occasional streetlights, and they made her skin look yellow.
"I can eat, but food just doesn`t taste as good. I`ll eat, too, thought." She assured.

[Sky]

Seth shook his head, squinting his eyes as the yellow lights hit his pupils.
  "Its okay. I'm not very hungry."

She tilted her head, her reflective eyes meeting his.
'You sure? We-- well, you-- might as well eat. There probably won`t be any food where we`re going." Not for him, at least.

[Sky]

"Don't worry about me." He said. "I'll be fine."

"Okay, then. That changes things a little." Alice replied, mostly to herself. Her eyes were on the next corner, the one they would turn at.
"Have you ever danced before?"

[Sky]

"I..uh...don't dance." He said, rubbing his neck. "I mean...I don't know how."

Alice grinned, laughing a little.
"Well, tonight is going to be fun." She teased. She knew how to dance, of course. She grew up in the ninteenth century, she had to know how to dance.

[Sky]

"Fun." Seth repeated to himself. The last dance he attended, he stepped on Katie Farris' feet more than three times.

Alice stopped walking, her eyes locked up on his.
"Do you even want to go?" She asked. "I mean, if you want to do something else... that`s fine."

[Sky]

"No no no. I do. I do want to go. I'm just...." Seth shrugged his shoulders. "Shy." He squeezed her hand.

It was Alice`s turn to raise an eyebrow.
"I`m being serious, Seth. Do you want to dance, or do you have another idea? I`m not going to let you embarass yourself, and you won`t be alone. These people won`t be professionals or anything, and you can`t hurt me by stepping on my feet. What are you worried about?" Her tone was open and questioing, and she wanted to know his honest opinion.

[Sky]

"I want to dance with you." Seth paused and then opened his mouth to speak, but didn't saying anything else. He motioned for her to lead the way.
