halloween time

æ When brandon awoke he found it the day of the halloween ball and he hadn't a partner to join him. He dreaded this time of the year even though his birthday was just around the corner. He wished that it was the other way around, that the girls asked the boys.
Then when he had worked up the courage he spotted a girl he had liked for some time. he knew the chances were slim but he still decided to take the chance. He headed across the entry way to where the girl sat watching him. æ

when brandon reached the couch she was sitting on his heart began to pound, and he could here cho's friends begin to giggle.

He began to walk away hating himself for making such a joke of himself. He wondered why he was the only guy in school that ever choked. Even neville had a date for christ's sake.

cho smiles and laughs with her friends they are talkin about the dance and cho is the only one without a date slightly embarrased she trys to change the topic to what they are all wearing

when brandon finally reached the table where his friends sat eating their breakfast he realized he couldn't eat. He sat with a sickened look upon his face and wondered to himself why him, why couldn't harry be the one without a date. of course he had an entire line of girls that would love to go with him.

but then he was sickened even more when he looked to find chos friends still giggling and pointing at him. he stood up abruptly and marched towards his dormatory.

when brandon got to his dormatory he didnt want to even think about the dance. he decided he wouldn't even go and use the couple extra hours to catch up on this weeks work.

he watches her begin to walk off but runs to catch up, when she turned around he began to say something but then he realized that he didn't know what to say. then he said * would you care to join me to the dance*
