Hello, I am new and so can someone please tell me this?

I was wondering, how do you get a different avatar/picture thing on? Not the ones in the list, the ones that you make... um, you get me, right? ^^; Because every time I try it appears as the one that is highlighted on the list of pictures (or whatever you wanna call them, I call them avatars). Tell me if I need to be more specific.

Yes, I noticed  :) Welcome both of us. And I have gone to my profile but every time I type in a URL to the picture it appears as one of the highlighted avatars.
