'Check mate! haha" Emily yellled, Hermione started at Emily in amazement, Nobody had ever beaten Ron before, not even one of his brothers which was a shock since he had so many.

'Whoa! your a good chess Player!" Ron exclaimed.

emily nodded, she was in her fifth year, but she needed to be sorted, so like evryone else.......Emily Followed the scared-looking 11 year old's to the lake.

After everyone hopped into the Great hall, no sooner later, the sorting had begun, hermione spotted Emily she didn't look nervous like the other's just calm, even though she didn't know what was going to happen.

"Amanda Ace" The hat yelled.


"Ravenclaw!' yelled the hat.

The sorting was going, and going no sooner later Emily was getting sorted.

"Emily (I forget the latname)" The hat yelled.

Emily gleamed up at hermione and stroade over to the stool.

She jabbed the hat on her head.

"Hmmmmm...........Talent yes......good mind.....very bold and brave you better be...' The hat paused.

"Gryffindor!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled the hat.

Hermine was the loudest to clap , she was happy, emily cameover and sat beside Hermione.

"Attention please,qudditich matches will be held again, we there fore, need a captin and a keeper" Dumbledore announced.

"I'd like to introdouce Our new Defence Against the Dary Arts teacher, whcih I excapt some of you will remember" Dumbledore said, be he was blocking.

who could it be?

"Professer Lupin will be teaching!" Dumbledore announced.

Hermione looked up, she was so happy!, Professer Lupin was standing right infront of them.

Hermione looked at Harry who was grinning and at Ron who was dumbstrcuk.


"Yes,Well I'd like to do the prefects now!, here we are: Gryffindor prefect is Miss.Hermione Granger!" Dumbledore said giving hermione a smile, everyone applauded.

"Ravencalw prefect,Cho Chang"

and so on.

Hermione smiled, this didn't ruin anything.

The feast had ended , everyone followed there houses, Hermione led Gryffindor, she felt proud.

"First years infront, keep up Gryffindor!"


Hermione smiled at Emily who grinned back, she looked happy just to be at Hogwarts now.
