Dumbledore's Scar (Please read)

In the first book it mentions that Dumbledore has a scar on his knee resembling a perfect map of London (?). Well, you need to be touched by an evil curse to have that kind of scar. So, who gave it to him? Why were they trying to hurt/kill him? Please reply, I wanna hear what you guys think!!!

he doesn't have to be hit by an evil curse....they only said that bout harry's scar, because he survived it, and it gives him warnings. dumbledore's scar is fine, and noby was trying to hurt him.

Well, what's-his-name....Grindelwald might have givin Dumbledore that scar (how? *shrug*)... Who knows! :-\ But it might pop up in a later book! ^^;
