Cheap Portraits!!??!

K the last book was great and all but i have 1 question. How do the portraits work?? I mean no1 is really dead if they can talk to who ever they want through their portrait. And why didn't harry ever talk to a portrait of his parents. Honestly if i was harry i would of got a portrait of his parents, Sirius, and Dumbledore. It's so weird that they communicate through the portraits but harry never even bothers to find dumbledore's other portraits!! I'm not too sure how it works so can some1 clear it for me or prove to me that I'm wrong?? ??? ???

well uhm harry doesnt really work that way and he didnt really have time to look 4 portraits cuz he had 2 find the horcruxes

well why didn't he find his parents portraits even before voldemort returned. And when Voldemort was back alive again in the 7th book why didn't he try to get dumbledores other portrait or something, then he could of just asked him all of his questions?

well voldy is to stuck up and he thinks he knows all these things and.... i dont know y harry never found a portrait of his parents....maybe there isnt one

there wouldn't be one it's only for famous wizards or headmasters of hogwarts since lily or james was never a headmaster or famous no portrait

ye there ya go, even if there aren't any portraits of sirius or harrys parents its still a cheap aspect of the book. Just think after the last book dumbeldore isn't really dead if harry can just go and chat with him, he can also apologize to snape because he is a headmaster too, can't he?

i have looked at the portaraits inside Hogwarts and there are no visable portaraits on the walls of hogwarts of James or Lilly

yeah there aren't and pplus they probably only have pix, not portraits
