Ginny Weasly

((Here's a little more for ya'll.))

Things were going good. Great, actually. When Ginny wasn't going to be home, she left Cody with Xaver. And when Xaver wasn't going to be home, Cody stayed with Ginny. Most nights, all three stayed home and relaxed, enjoying the time they had together.
But once in a while, Ginny actually had something important to tend to. She needed to get her ex husband to sign the divorce papers. He hadn't signed one of the papers. Possibly by accident, though Ginny would know soon enough. She just needed to get a hold of him. The only problem with that, was that he was avoiding her like the plague. But she knew a way to get to him, knew a way to convince him to meet with her.
It was late, and rain was falling onto the already snow covered ground. As Ginny walked down the street towards the Hogshead, she knew it would turn into ice in a mere hour. It was that cold out, and the rain had been coming down all day.
Only an hour ago, Ginny had left thehouse, kissing Cody's forehead and softly explaining to Xaver that she had something to attend to. The two dark haired beings had given her hugs and kisses, telling her to come back when she could.
Her boys. The two people she loved most in this world.
And tonight, she'd have to deal with one of the people she hated most, to be able to deal with someone she hated even more.
"My enemy's enemy is my friend..." She muttered to herself, not really believing it.
She stepped into the old, dusty pub, shaking her head to free the rain from her hair. She didn't bother to hang up her cloak, just let it disappear from her. Her bright red hair reflected off the candle light, catching the interest of many men, mainly on sitting at the bar. He nodded to her and she scowled inwardly as she walked up to the brown haired man. "Mahn." She said in greeting, sitting beside him. He had dark, hair and a tan complexion.
Mahn smiled, his teeth flashing white and sharp in the gloomy light, "Ginny, what a pleasure to see you. And how have you been?" Ginny winced slightly as he spoke, his voice still cutting her nerves after all these years. He noticed with another smile.
   Her pain was with pleasure.
Ginny's eyes quickly scanned over Mahn's body. Checking for weapons, it seemed. She didn't trust him. Ever, never. He hadn't brought any though, so she relaxed slightly.
   "Pleasantries aren't necessary, Mahn."
He laughed out loud, "As usual, you waste no time." He leaned forward, about to say more, when a glass of water spilled into his lap. Mahn jumped from his chair, his face changing. He reached down, grabbing the front of the owner of the glass's shirt. He pulled him to his feet and Ginny recognized the man. Sirius Black. And he appeared to be very drunk.
Ginny frowned, "Don't. It was an accident." She too stood, placing her hand on Mahn's shoulder.
"Ginny!" Sirius slurred, reaching out and putting an arm around her to balance himself. He stumbled, leaning against her heavily. He was looking at her with big eyes, "Wow, your hair! It's...it's so red!"

Someone else, long ago, ""Did I ever tell you that you have red hair? I like red hair. Red hair is different. I'd never seen red hair before I saw you. Did you know that?"

Now, Sirius still leaned against her shoulder, still talking to her. His voice still slurred, and she became embarrassed for him. Even more at his next words.
"I don't know if I ever told you this, Ginny, but you're...you're really very pretty."
Mahn shook his head in disgust, "Perhaps you should take care of your friend." He stood, leaving without waiting for a word from her.
"W-wait!" Ginny yelled after him, too late. She turned to Sirius, highly upset, "Dam.n you!" She cried, "What is your problem lately?! You've been acting so weird around me!"
Sirius pulled away, facinf her even as he waved through the air, "What's wrong with the way I act around you?" He asked, half shouting.
"How do I act, Ginny?" He ran a hand through his hair, "Ya know...ya know, I thought a girl...or woman would realize it when..." He stopped, shaking his head, "Ya know what? Never mind."

Before Ginny could ask what he meant, Sirius turned and stormed out the front door into the rain. Ginny stood there for a moment, then sighed, "If he gets sick..." She muttered, deciding to follow him. She caught up to him and grabbed his wrist, "Come back inside." She said.
"No!" He yelled back sounding like a child. He jerked backwards, slipping on the ice and falling. He closed his eyes and simply lay there. Ginny knelt down over him, holding out her hand to help him up.
"Come on." She said as he stared at her. Just as she began to feel uncomfortable with the way he was looking at her, he took her hand, and she helped him stand up. They stood looking at each other in the rain before she grabbed his wrist, pulling him back towards the pub.
   "I'm an idiot." He muttered.
"It happens. Let's get you some coffee, okay?" They went back into the pub, sitting at a table and ordering coffee. Ginny looked around, raking her fingers through her wet hair. She was still very angry about Mahn leaving, very upset.
When the coffee came, Ginny looked up at Sirius, who was grinning like an idiot. "Drink it." She told him, scowling, "And get the stupid grin off your face."
Sirius, who had begun to sober up now frowned, 'What's your problem?" He asked.
"You made him leave!" Ginny shook her head angrily, "I don't understand you. Ever since you found out IO had a son and that Xaver had come back, you've been acting so weird!"
Sirius looked down at his cp, his cheeks coloring. "Honestly, Ginny. I would have expected a smart girl like you to have figured it out by now."
"Figure out what?" Ginny scowled angrily. So tired was she of his games.
Sirius wiped his mouth, "That I like you!" He blurted out, "God, you think you would have noticed!"
"Huh?" She was confused, his choice of words had little meaning to her, "Of course you like me. We're friends, aren't we--"
She stopped then, staring at him as comprehension dawned upon her features. "Oh." She said simply, "Ohhh...." She didn't know what to say.

((Haha, sorry for the long wait. Simply because you are so patient, I will make sure this is some of my best writing!))

Ginny simply starred at Sirius, her mouth agape. Why...why was he attracted? What kind of signals had she been sending him? Along with her shock, she suddenly felt a little bit guilty. When had she led him on so?
   Sirius just nodded, "Exactly."
Ginny looked down at her cup of coffee, trying to clear her thoughts and make sense of his attraction to her. Finally, she just asked him. "Well, why?"
Sirius raised his eyebrows, leaning forward. "Are you kidding?" He asked her. Upon seeing she wasn't he shook his head, "What's not to like? You're pretty, smart...powerful."
Ginny was still dumbfounded, "For how long?" She pressed.
Sirius paused, as if he were thinking about the question. But Ginny could tell simply by looking that he already knew.
"Since that day in the forest. When I kissed you..." Sirius looked up at her, meeting her eyes. "I saw you there, so upset by Xaver's disappearance. You, the strongest person I'd ever met...I was surprised that the mighty Ginny was devastated by the loss of one man. I wanted to see if, maybe, I could be that man."
Ginny slowly stood from her seat, shaking her head. She scowled darkly, "Sirius, you don't love me. You don't even know what love it." She laid the money on the table for their coffee's and turned, snatching up her cloak. "Bye." She said gruffly, walking out of the pub.
Sirius looked after her, his face saddened. He was sobering up, and just realized that what he had said was stupid. She'd never be the same around him again.

The next day, Ginny paced around the house. Cody watched her as she kept looking up at the clock, shaking her head angrily. Finally, she nodded at Cody.
"Go get your shoes on. We'll go meet him."
Cody jumped up, running to his room to find his sneakers, and Ginny took his place on the couch. Where was Xaver? He'd promised to watch Cody this afternoon,  after a meeting at the Ministry. What was keeping that man?
Well, she'd soon find out. As Cody came from his bedroom, Ginny reached out and pulled him into her arms, instantly transporting the two of them to the Ministry. Within seconds, she sensed Xaver's presence. He was downstairs, in the court room.
Ginny's brow furrowed as she took Cody with her, having him walk beside her as she held his hand. Just  outside the door, she could hear angry voice. Shouting. Ginny scowled, and without another word, kicked the door open. Literally.
She could see Xaver, backed by Sirius, glaring at a rather large mass of people in red. Ginny felt her stomach harden. Each and every person in red hand their wands out. Pointed at Xaver. At her Xaver.
This quick analysis took only a second, and then she stalked into the room, emanating anger as she did so. She and Cody went to Xaver's side. Cody let go of Ginny's hand, putting his arms around Xaver and hugging his legs while Ginny looked at the people in red.
"So you are the reason my husband is late coming home?" Her voice was soft, emotionless. No, they weren't married yet, but they might as well be. Her eyes flashed with anger. Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn, or so the saying goes. "You are the reason he wasn't home to watch our son?"
A frizzy haired woman stepped forward, "We aren't the reason he's a bad parent!," she said, in that shrill voice. "You married ... Him. IT. It is none of our concern if arresting a conniving murderer keeps your half-breed up past his bed-time!!--"
Ginny growled, "My son isn't 'half' anything!"
Xaver frowned at her as well, "I can see your morals are no better than those you choose to convict, anyway. Putting away others to distract curious eyes from yourselves..?"
A man stepped forward, almost toe to toe with Xaver. Xaver stood so Cody was slightly behind him, so that he was between his son and tis man. The man grabbed Xaver's shirtfront, shaking him sightly and raising his wand is if he wanted to curse him. Surprisingly, Xaver made no move to stop him. But he didn't back down, either.
"I can put you in a cell, Xian!"
"You could never get me there." Xaver said, his voice even.
Ginny turned and looked each of the people in red in the eyes, "Listen, all of you. I taught each and everyone of you everything you know. But I didn't teach you everything I know." She looked pointedly at the man holding Xaver's shirt, "I'm sure none of you want to die today."
Then, then man made what would have possibly been his last decision if Cody hadn't been holding Xaver's legs. He raised his wand, "Cruc-"
Xaver's hand shot out, gripping the man's throat. His other hand went around the man's lower jaw, and he picked him up off the ground.
"I warned you. I told you not to speak ill of my son again, did I not?"
The man flailed, crying out, but Xaver held him there as if he were nothing.
"I-" Cody squeezed Xaver's legs tightly, and Xaver came back to reality. He set the man down, and with a soft wave of magic sent him back to the group.
"Just. Leave." And they did. For fear of their own skins.
As the last one left the room, Ginny let out a sigh and knelt down. She gripped Cody by the shoulder's, and smoother his hair. All the anger that had been coming from her disappeared as she looked at her small son.
"Angel, what Daddy and I did was wrong," She told the wide-eyed boy, "You must never attempt to hurt someone. By words, magic, or your hands." As she spoke, Xaver took a few steps away, and then turned to face her.
"They aren't so wrong, are they?" he said darkly. "Had I been a few years younger, than now - I would have killed that ignorant fool. And I would have d.amn well enjoyed the justification. ..Just another bloody f_cking monster they're looking to exterminate. Well, they niking FOUND him, didn't they?!" In his anger, he punched a near-by wooden pillar, causing the wood to shatter.
Cody's hand found Ginny's, and his eyes grew wide. He squeezed her hand tightly, scared by his father's reaction. Ginny however, could only look on sadly. How could she comfort him? He who comforted her in all times. What could she do to help him?
"A degenerate lowlife. Nice, isn't it? Not human? Into a cell, with ya." Xaver shook his head, anger rolling off him.
"One-hundred percent, full-blooded non-human. ...I've never been too proud of my bloodlines, but I've never been ashamed of them, either. Hell, we're only a bunch of raving, sick, conniving, murdering lunatics, right? ..I don't think I've ever felt so related to my brother, until now."
Ginny scowled, picking Cody up as she too stood, "Hey!" She snapped, "That's my son's bloodline! And you are not like Xences."
"AND HE IS DIFFERENT!" Xaver yelled the words, though Ginny knew it was much better than if he had been silent. However, on a different note, Xaver  had never yelled at her before.
"He is DIFFERENT than the rest of..me. Being raised by YOU.." Xaver shook his head as he thought f his twin brother. "Am I so different, sometimes? That's what I'm BEST at. Hell, it was what I was RAISED TO DO. SUPPOSED to do. I am a cold-blooded killer and I am good at it. What kind of King - what kind of FATHER, does that make me? I could care less if that blood-line was never good enough for them.." He waved his hand in the way the others had left.
"Different? No. Xaver, you are wrong. My son-OUR son is not different." She shook her head, "He is exactly like us in so many ways, it scares me to death. In being like us, he is the same as us. He isn't different from me nor you." Cody clenched her shirt, putting his head on his shoulder and watching Xaver closely.
"As for the difference between you and Xences, and what kind of father you are...well, that's for you to decide. I say the day you came back and immediately wanted to be apart of his life, of my life, no questions asked, is the day you became an amazing father." Her anger was back, this time directed at him. He was not as he thought he was, not fully. That was simply one side of him. He was so wonderful, why couldn't he see it?
