[Xaver]

It had been a while.

Xaver made through the crowds on the old, familiar cobblestone walkway that donned the little town, avoiding the numerous Hogwarts students as they hustled about to get in all their shopping. He was a quite healthier creature than he was the last time he was in Hogsmead, if he remembered correctly, and the odd thought put a sort of halfish smile on his extrordinarily handsome features, as he stepped off the street, and out of the snowy weather, into one of the best known candy shops in the country. Despite a few scars here and there on it, he was still a kid a heart, and perhaps enjoyed candy far too much for a Fallen King.

The minute addiction didn't show however, in his lean creature, strong, and compact as ever - a whipcord of strength, and graceful movements, beneath his dark shoes, black jeans, and a navy blue shirt, under a thick, odd-textured black cloak. His eyes, blue, and deep as oceans, flickered about the warm atomosphere, moving over shelves, and shelves of candy. Staring, slightly.

Where to start?

Sarah had taken a break from her job at the vet hospital to make a candy run. That when she notice someone that she normally never saw. Sarah kept walking through the store getting the candy she wanted but for some reason she could not stop staring at this person. They were familar to her but she could not put a name to them.

Sarah then thought that he might not reconize her since she had lost 30 pounds and was no longer wearing hogwarts robes. She was now dressed in a long blue robe that she wore while taking care of the animals. Plus Sarah had cut her hair extremely short. She was now going up to the counter and paying but still looked over her shoulder at the person.

Sarah paid and headed out of the store when she accidently bumped the person.

"I'm so sorry."

Gaping at all the candies and goodies, Xaver hadn't noticed he'd become of someone else's attention, his thoughts running oddly haywire, in the close fit of the little shop. He moved about, picking up candies here and there, looking up only when he was knocked into, his gaze resting upon a familiar face, as a girl came into view, flustered, slightly.

"I'm so sorry."


Xaver blinked.
He smiled, slightly, recognizing her - he had last seen her the day he'd come back. He'd been a right mess, for sure, and hadn't paid much attention to her, being fixed on other things - but he remembered her.

"No, Miss Sarah, I fathom no apologies necessary. It was an accident, anyway."

He nodded, in way of hello, and chuckled lightly, picking up a few more candies, until he deemed his hands full enough.

Sarah finally reconized the person. Then she smiled as she tried to stick out her hand.

"Well Hi there Xaver. I did not notice it was you." Sarah had changed but he had not well execpt that he was not as banged up this time. Sarah then looked at him.

"What your doing here." Sarah never really seemed to see Xaver. She then looked around the store and though that she might want to get out soon. I was the noon sales so hogwarts kids were now coming thought the doors like crazy.

"I think I'll meet you outside and we can talk." Sarah was then out the door before he could answer.

Jessie ran in the door right as Sarah had been coming out.

*Oh!!! Dear I am so sorry Sarah!!* Jessie said as the people behind her pushed her farther into the store where she was consumed amongst the masses.

*It is fine. I was actually waiting for someone out here.* Sarah then sat down on one of the benches waiting for Xaver. She was not going to tell people who since she was not sure if Xaver wanted them to know she was here.

[Xaver]

Xaver smiled at her, nodding to her. It was getting a bit stuffy, a bit over-crowded, in the shop. Perhaps it was best to talk outside.

"Alright - I'll meet you outside in a minute."

They seperated, she, moving toward the door, and he, toward the register.


After he'd paid for his goods, and the little bag was stowed carefully away in one of his many pockets along the inside lining of his cloak, invisible to prowling eyes, Xaver made his way out of the shop, just missing the second collision. He found her instantly, his senses more or less restored, compared to the last time they'd seen each other, when he'd been nearly.. Well. Dead.

He waved, stopping before her, his hands tucked good-naturedly into the pockets of his jeans.

"So, just taking a shopping day, Sarah?"

"well ya. I mean when all you do is work and take care of a husband you need some days like that." Sarah face looked like she had not slept in days. Part of that was because of the fact that she had not. Sarah looked at Xaver he looked at lot better then the last time she was him.

"So what you been up to."

*sirius ran down the crowded streets searching madly for sarah. he ran down a few steps and into the nearest shop. no sarah. he went frantically to many of the shops but could see her no where. then, out of the corner of his eye he spotted her. he ran up to her his robes billowing behind him. he only noticed her and not the others though on a normal day they would be hard to miss. he almost ran into her from frantically searching. he breathed heavily before explaining like a mad man.* Uni, she drank...potion of...my potion....drank morning potion. *sirius could hardly talk from breathing so hard.* she fell...ground...not moving...breathing...moving no.

[Xaver]

"Recuperating, mostly. It's in my nature to work myself to death, but not in my nature... To take death kindly. I'm not a very good prisioner, I suppose."

He smiled, awkwardly, and shook his head, his thick raven hair falling into his eyes slightly, until he flicked the strands away, contrasting to the healthier, bronze shade of his skin.

Oh, no.
He didn't make for a good prisioner at all.
Perhaps that was why he'd ended up so bad.
They couldn't break him.


Xaver mentally shook the memories off, and focused on Sarah.

"Well, you should take more days for yourself, my friend. You've only this one life, remember."


Xaver was in the midst of shrugging, when a figure came running toward them, stopping before Sarah. His eyebrows raised, Xaver watched them, the man's heavy heartbeat a distraction, of sorts, though he kept focus just the same.

"..not moving...breathing...moving..."


"Where is she?"

Sarah looked at him. "Siruis talk to us. Where is she."

Sarah siad as she started to shake. SHe could not beleive that her animal was know hurtting. Sarah wanted to go to her and end the pain since she was not sure how to save her.

"Xaver can you help me. I mean I'm not sure how to fix this."

*sirius pointed blindly to his house at the beginning of the street. he was so tired from running around trying to find sarah he closed his eyes  breathing hard still.* house...mine. *he said with no more sound then a weak breath.

*he weezed a heavy breath before toppiling over on the ground. one because he had ran all around frantically, two because the unicorn had drank his potion for that morning so he was tired because he didn't have the ingrediant that his body needed in it. in short, sirius had fainted with a thud on the cold coblestoned ground.*

"Xaver can you help me. I mean I'm not sure how to fix this."


Xaver nodded.

Definately.

Sarah was a friend, and, though he didn't even know the fellow that had run up to them - he would definately help her. Xaver was intelligent - and a master at a million more things than he ever gave off, or bragged of.
As the man fell, Xaver kneeled, scooping the guy up and throwing him over his shoulder. He tried to be careful - very careful, in fact, knowing how delicate humans were - and he looked at Sarah.

"Lead the way."

Sarah took off running to her house. Sarah then went to the Unicorn on the ground.

"Lay him on that table." Sarah said to Xaver as she started running around and grabbing the Unicon some potion that would help her. Sarah then gave the unicorn the medince and sat there hopping that she would wake up.

"Come on Uni wake up." Sarah then started to cry as here pet laid there died. She was to late to help her. Knowing that Sarah got up and went inside and started to make another potion for Siruis since she knew what he needed.

"Thanks Xaver." Sarah siad with tears in her eyes.

[Xaver]

Xaver did as ordered, and lay Sirius out of the table, though he went straight from there, to kneeling beside the unicorn. It wasn't dead yet, though it was close, its heartbeat a light flutter under his fingers as he rubbed the animal's neck.

"Don't give up yet - what's her name, Sarah?"

He didn't look up from the unicorn, continuing to rub the beast's neck, and shoulder, reaching out with his thoughts.
