A small, dark haired boy, walked through the trees, slipping now and then in the ice/snow. Not that he cared, he was grinning like crazy, happy to have gotten rid of his parents for the moment. He seemed to be about 6-8 years old, a bit tall for his age, and pretty skinny. His messy hair flew into his eyes when the wind blew, but he ignored it, pulling his coat around himself tighter.

It was late in the afternoon, the sun was lowering quickly, but he showed no fear. His father's blood kept him from being cold, his mothers from being afraid of a simple forest. He tripped again, almost falling now, then laughing aloud.

Cody's eyes, exactly like his fathers ice blue, looked around with amusment at the still forest. He knew he shouldn't be in here, and he knew he wouldn't get away with it for long, but he wasn't afraid of anyone getting him except his mother. She was going to be angry when she finally found him.

Jessie fell out of a tree and on to the ground. *Uhhhhh...* she groaned. Then seeing Cody, she sprang up with so much energy that anyone would be surprised, and then walked over to him *Hello there!!* she said

Cody stepped back in surprise, his expression wary now. All the same, he was polite. "Hello," he said, nodding his head slightly.

Mira was wandering through the forest looking for Jessie, when she saw her and Cody. "Hello Jessie. Cody where is your mom? Or dad? Are you taking a walk with Jessie or something?"

Cody looked up now, recognizing Mira, but hardly. He hadn't seen her in almost a year now. Still, he bowed his head as a courtesy, something he learned from his father.

"Momma is at the school. And no, I don't know her." He looked towards Jessie with slight suspicion.

Mira looked at Cody amusment sparkling in her eyes. "Don't worry she's not mean or anything." Then she looked st Cody again. "Wow have you grown! I haven't seen you for about a year know."

Cody nodded his head, his almost black hair shifting and blowing across his eyes. He paid no heed, not caring one way or the other. He looked again towards Jessie. Not mean? He'd decide that.

Xaver spoke into Cody's thoughts, his tones as if he were grinning.
He didn't appear, though - he was no where near the forest, or where they were.

Cody's face suddenly looked guilty, he frowned then, looking off into the trees. He knew Xaver wasn't close by, but that didn't stop him from looking.
