Pete looked at them "Please please stop yelling it was my fault just stop" he begged them.

Sky looked at Pete and walked out of the common room. She didn't mean to get so mad but if..if she had lost Pete..it would really hurt her. He was one of her best friends and if something serious had happened, she didn't know what she would do. She stood out in the hall, shaken up a little.

Pete followed her. "I'll be right back" he told them as he walked out. "Sky I'm sorry" he said "I justdont like it when people are hurting because of me" he said.

"You need to learn how to control it!" Sky yelled. "If you don't control it, you might kill someone!" She looked at Pete. She was thankful he wasn't hurt.

"Oh, because if you got a new power you would know exactly what would happen, wouldn't you?"  Jackie said sarcastically trying to control her anger. SHe had heard before that when Sirens lose their temper they really get mad.  She had heard of one wreaking havok on a town before. SHe didn't want to be that. Jackie let out a breath of exasperation and stomped upstairs the ground shaking with every stomp. She leaned against a wall upstairs and took a big breath trying to recall what just happened.

Billie got up and followed Jackie as she got Petes message. "You okay Jackie?"

"What does it look like? I just got in a useless fight with my friend! I hate this Siren thing!"  Jackie said with a few tears sliding down her face. Her mascara left a few smudges.

Billie looked at her. "Its tough but you'll be able to control it soon and Sky will be okay Petes talking with her." she said. "Dont worry I used to have a lot of trouble with my vampire thing but I can control it very well now" Billie said. "It jsut takes time"

Sky looked away. "When you crashed into a wall because of her..it scared me." She said quietly.

Pete stood in front of her. "dont be I cna handle a lot them no can take okay" he said lifting her chin slightly makeing her look at him.

She closed her eyes. "I don't want to lose anyone else..." She said, her voice cracking a little. Sky didn't want him to see her cry. She didn't even want to cry. She felt so stupid.

Pete looked at her "What do you mean who have you lost?" he asked softly.

"My parents...." Sky said and looked him. Finally, she couldn't take it and started crying. "I never want to see death again." She sobbed.

Pete hugged her. "I'm sorry" he said as he held her.

She hugged him back, taking in the moment. For just a moment, with that hug, all of the pain from her past seemed to disappear. She felt relieved...
