Ripples

Stacey was in the Lake. It was dark outside and the stars and moon were reflected in the black water. She was wearing a thin sweater and jeans that were soaked with water. She slowly sank beneath the surface and looked up to watched the ripples she had made.

A figure approached the lake. It was a girl, very small and thin and her hair reflected the moon briliantly. It could only be Jackie.

She sat down by the lake and hugged her knees to her chest, letting her hair spill out around her face. "Hm.. Wet, it looks good on you." She commented smiling wryly. Then she slid into the lake with almost no sound, drifting, her hair creating a pale cloud of white around her. "May I ask what you're doing out at this late hour?"

Stacey heard Jackie and surfaced. "May I ask you the same question?" She asked, her eyes were a light yellow that matched the moon.

[Aiden]

Aiden walked towards the lake.  He looked out and saw two figures by the lake.  He walked closer, not wanting to disturb them but he wanted to see who they were.

Stacey went under the water for a moment, then she heard Bucky talking, even though he was far away. She burst back to the surface. "I`m dressed, nitwit!" She yelled. "Do you know how many people, and things, are in the forest at night, just waiting for someone to go skinny dipping?!"

Jackie nodded and replied "I was out because I can't sleep." She said, putting it blatantly. Then she heard Bucky and was about to respond when Stacey did it for her.

She laughed and splashed in the water for a short moment before getting back into the rhythm of treading. "Get over here!" Jackie shouted to the boys, still partly laughing.

Nate was kicking the dirt with confusion as he walked around the forest. He heard deep in the forest voices, he smiled as he heard Jackies. He walked towards the direction and peered through the trees to see Jackie and Stacey, and a little ways off Bucky and Aiden. He thought to himself,I probably shouldnt be here, itd be to awkward. And so he turned away and walked off the direction as quietly as possible, not looking back.

Jackie turned toward a sound in the forest. (sorry, you join then you risk being found!!  :) ) "Hey! WHo's there?" She demanded, into the darkness. Then she looked at Stacey. "There was someone there right? Or am I a bit loopy?" SHe asked laughing a bit.

Nate walked a little faster and then stopped in his tracks,d**n i cant believe im doing this. He turned around and appeared out of the trees and revealed himself,"Hi," he said with his hands in his pockets and with a shy smile.

Jackie smiled, but quickly looked over at Stacey and her smile dampened a bit. "Hi." She said, forgetting for a moment to tread and dunked under.  She came back to the surface sputtering water and laughing.

Nate covered his mouth as he tried to stop from laughing,"What are you guys doing in the water," he asked them but he was only facing Jackie.

Jackie shrugged as best she could while treading water. "I dunno, its nice though." She replied , looking at Stacey for a moment. "Why are we in the water?" SHe asked.

Stacey bit her lip when Nate appeared; she knew how he and Jackie were. "Well, I believe I came out here to clear my head." She shrugged. "Don`t know why you`re here." She added to Jackie.

Jackie half smiled. "I came out here because I couldn't sleep, and I saw Stacey in the water, so I got in." She said laughing a tiny bit at her lame excuse.
