Speaking of Christmas cookies, I have a story about ym childhood.

My grandma on my dad's side (my Grammie) used to bake cookies all year round, storing them until Christmas. When I was little, I was fond of all the kinds she made, but absolutly loved this kind that was tan, thin, and had a waffle-like design. I have been told countless times the name of this cookie, I never remember it. Anyway, about 5 years ago my beloved Grammie passed away, she was 89 years old. To the end she had lived alone and hosted countless holiday traditions in her home. We used to travel to her house every Christmas night to open presents and eat cookies and enjoy the holiday with her. The year she died, we mournfully found the cookies she had been storing. We ate them with the feeling of possibly never having them again. These cookies meant more than treats to me and my siblings. They were a symbol of the love and care that my grandmother had for us.
I walked into the kitchen just last night and saw a package from my sister. Inside were candid apples and other treats. Along with them was a ziplock bag full of my favorite kind of Christmas cookies. Light tan, thin, and waffle-like in appearance. My sister had learned how to make them, for she too had favored them. I feel as if I have a connection with my now long gone grandmother...simply because of cookies.

I wanted to share my happy night, haha. It made my night finding those cookies.

I know! I was still cold when I came inside! No wonder they say on the weather station that if you stay outside with bare hands in 5 mins or more you get frostbite!

I fell sorry for you all. My weather always rocks. Only i've never seen snow :'( :'( :'( :'(
