"Would you like to go out with me to my parents' house this weekend?" Seth asked suddenly. He hoped it wasn't too sudden for something like that. "There's going to be a birthday party for my Mother, and they wanted to meet you."

((I was supposed to, but my mom got sidetracked. Shh!))

Alice`s smile widened. "That would be wonderfull." She replied in her sweet voice, but her grin soon faltered. "Are you sure that they`ll... expect someone like me?" She asked.

Seth smiled and pulled her close. "Don't worry about a thing." He said before kissing her forehead. "They'll love you. Just like I do." His hand ran through her soft hair. "If you don't want to go, I understand Alice. There's no pressure."

Stacey wrapped her arms around Seth`s waist and rested her head on his shoulder. "I love you, too. And I`ll go if it means soemthing to you." She replied.

"But do you want to go?" He asked her. "Is it something you'd want to do?"

((SORRY! Habit. Like you`ve never done it before. Besides, I have three characters all on the same account, they get mized up sometimes! Don`t judge me! It`s late.))

Alice nodded and smiled. "Yes, Seth. I would love to meet your parents." She said, honesty leaking in her tone.

His eyes were on hers for a moment, trying to make sure that she was telling the truth and then he grinned. "You'll have a blast Alice! My Dad built in a pool last summer and my sister is bringing her kids!" Seth was excited. He missed his family and was anticipating playing with niece and nephew.

Alice laughed softly. "Seth, slow down." She urged, resting her head on his shoulder again. "I bet your family is amazing."

Seth leaned his head against hers, his once longer, spiky, brown hair was now short and soft. "Sorry.." He said, realizing how hyper he had gotten. He decided to change the subject.
   "Where do you see us in..I dunno...five years?"

Alice couldn`t hold back the large grin that stretched across her face when he apologized. She squeezed his hand again as he spoke again, her smile faltering as she thought. "Well, I`m not sure." She asnwered truthfully. "I mean, I love you, I do. But I guess I`ve been too caught up with you here and now to think about later." She confessed.

"Where do you see us?"

Seth smiled, relieved. To be honest...he was thinking of engagement. Not now, but...maybe later on, if things went well. He would wait a year before something like that anyway. But with the one couple getting married, it made Seth think. He had never felt a love like this. "I'm not really sure either. I'm hoping we're together though." He hoped he didn't sound like a mad love freak. If any of the guys knew about the things he said, he would be humiliated.

Alice smiled and hugged him gently. She was still careful around Seth. Her strenght was much greater than his, and she did still want to be with him later on. But that was soemthing that stood in the way.

"Seth... what about the fact that... I`m a vampire and you`re not?" She asked, her voice very softly.

He remembered them discussing this, and it was still in his mind..somewhere. He took her hand and held it. "So what?" He said.

Alice pulled back slightly so she could look into his eyes. "What do you think?" She asked softly.

"I think..." He chose his words carefully. "I don't care about the differences anymore. We can choose to remain like this..or I could change. And I would change in a heartbeat for you Alice. Either way.." he smiled. "I can handle it."
