This is a thread where you can talk about what happened to you today in school!

Today I did my book talk on the book the Darwin Awards... I got a 20/20, but I wasn't really surprised... I've done one of these each trimester and gotten a 20/20 on all of them...

My teacher always rights down your score and thoughts about your book talk.  He has scrawling handwriting, so it's kind of hard to make out in places...

The Darwin Awards
I agree; There are funny stories even though they are morbid.
I like the guidelines for eligibility for a Darwin Award.
Good stories that you chose especially the buffalo.
You could explain why these are called the Darwin Awards.  I doubt many in the audience knew.
I've enjoyed six of your book talks, Jessie.  Interesting job again.

Of course, the audience was my class, and he is under the impression that almost all of them are totally brain dead... and some are.

What did I do in school today? If you ask my friend Eric, I did nothing all day.

What I really did?

Voted for prom court in homeroom, got angry because they excluded a couple kids from the ballot list. Watched hamlet in Enligh, got really angry because my classmates wouldn't shut up. Voted again for prom court in English...went to Street Law and made dead baby jokes...art, choral, advanced art. Got offered $25 to help my art teacher clean his room. Refused the money and insisted I'd help anyway...lunch.
Where Steve pushed me off my chair. =|
Gym class where we pretended to play vollyball. Geometry...I dunno what's going on in there....I never really pay attention there. Haha.
Mass choral in activity period....
Cool, but half those alto's have no friggin clue what the words or notes are. It's awful.
My motivation
An oath I've sworn to defend

My dedication
To all that I've sworn to protect
I carry out my orders
With not a regret

Today, again in Lit...

A boy named Erik tried to be wolverine.  He stuck pencils in between his fingers, and then asked our teacher if he would call him Wolverine. The teacher replied, "I can't do that, but if I give you a responsible sheet, I'll put Wolverine as your middle name." It was very likely that Erik would get a responsible sheet... he gets one almost every Lit class.

Then our teacher began to check the notes we had taken on the last chapter of our book. When he got to Erik's desk he said, "You've lost seven points now Erik."   Erik replied, "It's Wolverine."  He then proceeded to growl for the rest of the class until my teacher sent him to the office.

It was really funny, but I still couldn't believe how stupid he was.  FYI... he's one of the brain-dead ones...

((A responsible sheet is a sheet that your parents have to sign, and you also have to hand write the complete definition of responsible which i REALLY long. Also... every time you don't have your notes done, you lose a point on your final paper for that book...))

What I did in school today?

Nothing at all, I stayed home due to being ill. Or faking it.

First Hour-Math:
Traced my hand and played SKUNK

Fourth Hour-English:
Talked some more. Did mastery test. Got one wrong on test. Did assignment. Talked to Alex. Finished Aeriel`s bookmark and started on Brittany`s.

Had some icky salad and an apple. Stole curly fries from Nick, Kaity, and Stephanie. Talked. Choir. Band. Talked. Went back to homeroom. Talked.
Fifth Hour-Science:
Talked. Wrote down and answered questions while teacher was talking. Put my feet on the chair. Wrote on Brandon`s folder. Wrote on my folder.

OK... I think you must be a seventh grader that goes to my school or something... They did Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, and those are all of the classes that we take at our school.  Weird. Our History teacher also gives out crosswords... but I guess the sevvies are taking geography instead of History...

Yesterday I was filling out I disagreeignment notebook, and I realized... I actually had NO HOMEWORK!! It was awesome!  Then my friend Kim came over and we made a notecard for a Math test for the High school I'm going to next year... It determines your level of math.  We're allowed to use a notecard (both sides) but we wrote so small that we hardly even needed the second side!!  The math test is at 9... I'm nervous.....

Ughhhhh I hate Saturday School!!

Hmm...well in school today I had to sit there for four hours so I decided to re-read Eclipse.  I've only read it one, but it got very boring after the first 2 hours.  =p
Then I got caught writing notes so I had to leave last.
It was fun after though because me and some friends were runnng down the hallways and hid in trashcans.

lol! I stay home, because there was no school due to it being a weekend! lol!

dobby888

No our colors are orange and black... Darn! I thought we had a chance there! Haha just kidding I knew that would be SUPER rare!!

We normally have to read at the end of the day, but I didn't have a book, so I tried to help out with jobs around the classroom!

On friday, we had a math test! It was EXTREMELY easy! It was about something we call brøk, here in Norway, but I don't know the name of it in english! It's about circles, and parts of those circles, you subtract, multiply, and do other things! :D I think I got a full pot on that test! :D

But parent conversations are coming up. Bah! Even though it's only sitting in a room with your teacher for twenty minutes, with your parents, I hate it! Because, my mom and my dad knows that I'm really good at school, but that I really never do what I could do.
My brother was just like me, only that he was much much more worse!

And in sixth grade, my brother was told to TALK MORE!!!! And I was told to talk less ^^ And I talk a LOT! ;D

And, we have two teacher, one of them is like, okay, but the other one, I hate her. Or, atleast it's fun fighting with her!:D
She always threaten to write it down, and tell it to my parents, but I really don't care. That much. :D

Post Potter depression.

dobby888

That's funny! My parents only do Parent-Teacher conferences in the fall because they know I'm a good student. My teachers each said that I should talk less, and my English and History teachers imitated my bored face!  (It was the same in both classes!)

Funny thing is, that they're the boring classes! :P

fudge0604

^^

Once, me and a friend in the class, ( a girl whos not that smart, but we hang out ) Started fighting over a pencil, which the annoyoing teacher held up, asking who it was. We argued. " It's minee!"  " No, IT'S MINE! " At the end, our teacher got mad, and throwed it over to the girl. It was quite funny, because it wasn't my pencil, and not hers :P Ten minutes of that class!

And always when I get bored in the classes, which is strangely often:P I just go to the bathroom, check my hair, and walk in again, slowly, often just standing by the glass door. ;D

Post Potter depression.

dobby888

Haha! Funny thing is... I do the same thing! I always check my hair in the bathroom XP

This is a story about my sister Claire, when she was my age.
She was in History, and her friend dared her to find a way to get out of the room.  So my sister (on the side of the room farthest from the door) threw her pen across the room and out of the door.  She stands up, walks out of the room and picks it up.  She walked back in to find the teacher staring, confused at her.  "I dropped my pen..."  She explained.

Miss Xantier

That's funny Jessie.
