I'm sorta back!
After almost a full year of college.
Just to get back to the HPFF community.
I've done so much since then.

Hello.

pSHA! My, the memories...

Wow.
To think where I would be right now, without HPFF. I have stated many times before, IC, 'friends are the life that holds this character together'. That statement is both true for Lavender, my first, foremost, and most endeared character of mine, to my heart, and me, myself, as well. I remember the times where it was proven to me, again, and again, that there actually was kindness out there in this world.

I remember when I started off.
HPFF was the starting point for me. For all and any of my ideas, writings, and such. Had I not gotten enough courage to join, and without the patience, acceptance, and kindness of the other members - I would not have progressed. And most definately, utterly NONE of my writing would ever leave the confinements of this brain mine.

Because of the old member's influence, I look at the change in the writing of the forum, my own.. I am dazzled. Truly.
When you think about it, HPFF was, and is, simply a great thing. The getting together and just writing, imagining, letting loose of ideas and creativity.
HPFF was my start. And my outlet.  I learned, created anew from a shell of a character, to a character that I now love with all my heart. Ask any writer - the characters they create are like their children! After a while I branched away, created and joined some other forums to extend in different areas..

I never could, never did, actually leave HPFF.
There were a few spells in which I simply could not get online... but HPFF, is also my HOME.

I remember Isis, Kiara, Max, Zack, Xaver, {Osiris moved away =<} Ginny, the old Hermione, Ella, Sebastian, Draco{Ryan}, Brian, Harry, Sher, Emily, Ron, Meg, Fawkes, Goblet, 0612, Josh, Neo, LavyBrown, Damion..+++

I RP'd most with Isis, Kiara, Brian, Harry, Damion, Ella and of course, Ginny. RP'd the most with Gin. =>

I love this place..
Love you all, forever.

Lavender flashed an amused, stunning grin, shaking her head. One couldn't find a better family than the Weasley's.

"So.."

She looked around once more, her eyes taking in the sights so familiar, and so foreign..

"Do tell. Is the food here as good as when I left? I'm ravished."

Lavender's eyes softened, in a dazzling display of affection for her friend, that she only showed to a rare few. She had been harshly injured and betrayed too many a time to lay her feelings on the line for just any nowadays. She had learned through hurts and emotions and sorrows and journeys that she did not hope on any others. Her pain was her own, and through things had changed so for her, they would not change so much, that she would become much more open than she had ever been.

Those many shaded, moody green eyes of hers flickered over Ginny's, as if personally feeling, for a moment, the struggles, the pain, the strain her friend had gone through. Ginny was one of those few that Lavender had no qualms about pulling into a tight hug, offering a few mental assurances, and respect. Lavender respected her. She was strong, courageous, loyal, and was more of a friend than she knew. Laveder had missed her so. And she was very sorry.

Lavender did just such, pulling Ginny into a warm, sisterly hug, and whence it was that she finally released her, she shook her enchanting head.

"I'm sorry things did not work out for you two. Really, I am. Know I only wish, and will willingly fight, for the best for you. I have missed you, and I'm sorry I couldn't help you through all of that. I would have. My sister."

She smiled for a moment, the warmth of the upturning of her lips an immense rarity, a beauty, a sincere expression, that though it did not last, backed up her words.
She nodded, then turned as she was spoken to by a male voice, her eyes lighting up again once more. She squeezed Ginny's hand, then released it, turning and running to Ron, bare feet not making a sound on the tile floor, throwing her toned, bronze arms around his neck, pulling his towering height down to her, into a warm hug. Gods, she had missed them so...
She planted a feather-light kiss upon the crook if his jaw, finally backing away then, though not too far, her eyes looking him over.

"Handsome as ever, I see," she said, giving a soft chuckle, of warm, melodious tones. "Hi Ron!"

She smiled once more at him, then backed away, her eyes watching the both of them. She finally paused for the moment, the curiosities of her eyes, of which held more secrets and past than any other should ever hold,, then more than even ever before, withdrawing slightly, becoming a notch more solemn.

"I've missed you guys," she said again, her words soft and quiet.

Suddenly it was a wonder where she had been all those months. Where ever it had been, it had obviously made her miss the life she'd had at Hogwarts. And though times with her friends had been OK, Lavender's life previous had been nowhere near joyous. It was obvious that to miss some of the terrors she had left, she had spent some time within the grasp of hell itself.

Or worse.

Lavender had always been very good at hiding her emotions. Hiding her feelings. Hiding her thoughts. She was even better at it, now. She was a master of concealing her own mind. Not even she herself could get into some places, anymore, unless she really fought for it. Though she could more freely express some warmth, there was a cool, withdrawn ice shield around her that had never been so thick, impenetrable, and weighed before. Some, for instance, Ginny and Ron, she relaxed slightly around, and she was not so dominating, or shadowed, but it was obvious, that she was either more secure than ever before...
Or more shattered than ever.

But she would never, ever, let another see herself completely crumble to pieces. For that would not only be her downfall, but her demise.

Lavender turned and passed a warm, friendly wink toward Ron, not expecting him to recognize her, she had changed dramatically, after all. But then her attention immediately whipped back to Ginny, her features softening, not only for her own curiosity, but for a sad wonder.

"What happened, Gin? When did this happen?"

Lavender follwed Ginny's glance, noticing Ron. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, her prettily formed mouth tipping into a mock, playful smirk.

"That male," she mumbled, shaking her head, winking at Ginny. "He does find the most peculiar places to sleep, no?"

She grinned, hugged Ginny once more, then backed away, dazzling green eyes looking over and taking in her friend.

"My, you look so much older! And so happy! Tell me everything! How is everybody here? How is your family? Your mother, father, brothers? How is Conan, Nathan, the little ones? How are you? I have missed so much... this old sheep has been away for a while!"

Lavender positively glowed, falling quiet now, though, wanting to hear.. well, everything. She wanted to know everything!
Raven hair cascaded about the finely honed features as she shook her head. Oy, my, was there much to catch up on! And so many surprises Lavender had...

"Ya, right, hun. You are lying through your very mind blocks!"
Lavender giggled, wrapping her arms around Ginny, hugging her back tightly.
"Oh, I've missed you!"

{{Woot! lolz}}

"A long time that sheep has had to dwell on her own foolishness and pain. This old sheep has very much missed you," came the light, melodious reply.

Lavender beamed a warm, once very rare smile, looking closely at that very long missed friend. Ginny seemed so happy. Lavender, painfully, didn't remember her as much that way. It was uplifting. Not so much foreign to Hogwarts, as getting to know it again, she looked over the wide, enveloping entrance, her eyes wide, taking in every hair's breadth of information.

"You have changed some, have you?" she inquired, a thin raven eyebrow arching in curiosity. "What is this I sense, so new?"

{{Hopefully, one of the best. I will never, ever go so far as to say I am the best at anything.
Unless I am handed a bazillion dollars cash, given a crown and a scooby-scooter, and have people bowing at my feet, with lots, and lots of fudge popsicles. :P hee hee, lolz. I'm glad to be back!
But I do thank you muchly for the compliment. It means a lot to me. More than you know.
Ay, yes.. I've noticed she was gone...

btw! Someone reply! lolz. I'm bored over here! lolz}}

As those before me said, 'lol' is 'laugh out loud', as 'ya'll' is 'you all'. Interneter's have a profound reputation for being very lazy with words on occasion. Hee hee, I admit to it. ;D

lolz,
lol,
lols,
and etc. are very much the same thing. Personally, I think 'lolz' sounds more fit than just 'lol'. It's how I read it in my mind, and hence, it has come out for quite a time now. Lolz. <- See?

Gryffindor / Returned {Open!}
April 1, 2006, 04:51:35 PM
A slender figure approached the great doors of the, though haunted, homely doors of the school of Hogwarts. The lean slash of black beneath the pale, heavy, warm moonlight suddenly appeared, not ten figures from the stone steps, without pause, without sound, the compact, strong, but thin body moving without hesitation beneath the shading material concealing her. Moonlight enhanced the figure beneath the thick cloak, womanly curves and delicate lines scaled times over a dream. She moved gracefully, confident, each step as if it had been waiting an eternity be placed, each cloud of breath rising, as if long before, it had been known that it would occur. Each movement that brought the probably long forgotten, but always remembering, lonely being closer to home, each exhaled breath taking with it the past and reasons and memories and confusions.

Soft hands extended toward the grand doors, and gently pushed them open, the figure entering without sound, yet with more revelation than usual. The excitement was almost traceable through her very body. Finally, the hood dropped, those smooth hands coming to her collar, unclasping, and removing the cloak, sliding it off her thin, but strong shoulders, and twirling it slightly, hanging it on the coat-hanger near the door.

Pale, cool flesh was now revealed, pale as untouched snow, smooth as satin, flawless.. yet in a blink, she was changed, the angelic beauty still there, but in a more humanly sense. The once so very pale and prized flesh was now tanned, and bronze, occasioned with scratches from due travel. The beauty was raven haired, each strand long, silky, and lustrous, a drawing effect painted into each and every of the lower-back length, straight cord. Dazzling green eyes, of every hue and shade and emotion danced over the corridor, a moody, yet pleasant smile etched into the finely honed, stunning features of the so very changed, once very commonly seen student of Hogwarts.

Donned in softly faded black jeans, a deep green silk top, which was loose and mysterious, yet flauntingly hugging in occasion, she gave off a primly gentle aura. She had no shoes on - it was quite obvious that she had dipped her feet into the lake, as well - though the effect was at a zero - going shoeless was obviously a habit, of which she very much enjoyed, indeed.

Lavender was back.
Not as Lavender Potter. She, though she had loved her adopted parents very much, did not belong to the Potter's. She still thought of Harry as a brother, though. She thought of Harry as a very close brother. His silly antics, meditations, and grin.
She thought of Kiara as a sister, just as always. There had been unsolved conflict before both strong sources of power had broken away, but Lavender never forgot- she missed Kiara deeply. There would always be pain and sorrow, as there had always been, but that could never be enough to determine Kiara as anything less than a sister to Lavender. Once, they might have thought themselves distantly related. Though fate proved her hopes wrong, blood was not as important as the strength of friendships.
Ella. Sweet, beautiful, quiet Ellz. Lavender missed her dearly. Wondered where she went, along with Isis, Em..
Damion. Her lost love, half-Vampire companion. Her once so near, now curiously always absent dream. Of what could have been. Life had been hard. Where there could have been a proposal and marriage of life and character, there was a curious, though forgiving, and missing, hopeful and hopeless void.
Lavender remembered Ginny - loyal, determined, sharp-witted, quick, bold, caring, strong, troubled, and worn, but the image of strength and protection and fierceness itself. Lavender remembered one of her oldest, closest, most missed friends, the vow of never, ever forgetting like a jolt.

So many gone.

But there were so many new faces. New talents. Beautiful talents. Beautiful style and wondrous curiosities, fresh realities. Fresh hurts and sorrows and dramatics to an old background.

Lavender was so overjoyed that she was back. There was nothing like it.
It may have been just before dawn, but soon would arise the warmth and praise of the sun, as well as the many people of Hogwarts. Lavender remained where she was, aghast to all that had changed. She was sorry. She was so different. She was better than ever before, yet worse in so many ways. She hurt less in some places, and dreadfully in others.

~~At times life is wicked,
and I just don't know how to get through,
We spend our days in turmoil,
with nothing to gain, and everything to lose.~~

She quoted herself, with a rare, loose smile, clasping those soft, still palish hands behind her back.

{{Alas! I have decided to return and post here at HPFF! I missed this home too much! Muah! Xaver and Zack are usually bumming around my house, always switching off and on my comp with me when we have the time, so time will be pressed for RP time between the three of us {my poor comp, lolz}, but it has worked so far! lolz. The idiots are practically family, they are over so often, lolz. That, or like ticks. Yuppers. Ticks. :P  Anywho! I will move their lazy butts and get on here more often! I missed you all, old and new!
