Late At Night

[curtis]

He still didn't look at her. He cleared his throat and pushed away from the tree. He faced her, but didn't look at her face.

"Sarah, I'm so sorry." He shook his head, then started walking up the path, towards the school.

[Shara2007]

Sarah ran up to him.

"Curtis what are you sorry for." SArah then thought about something.

"I will not leave you alone till you tell me and look me in the eyes when you say it."

[curtis]

"Go back to Cho, Sarah." he said, not even turning around.

[Shara2007]

"NO. She don't need me. You do." SArah then grabbed his arm and she was not letting go.

"You are the one that needs the friend."

[curtis]

Curtis stopped, but only because he didn't want to end up dragging her. He turned very slowly, looking up at her. He looked into her eyes and closed the gap between them with one step. He leaned it and kissed her on the lips, then stepped back.

"Go back to your friend. I don't need freinds." It was hard, but he kept his eyes on hers. His throat closed up, he felt dizzy. But he knew he had to be mean. he had to let her get on with her life.

He wasn't worth her love.

"Curtis. No I'm not going back to them. I had my heart broke once. You like me you know it. You would not have kissed me then." SArah let go of his arms.

"I'm going to let you leave but I'm not going to go back. I want to be with you. I don't care about them." SArah then kissed him back before she headed towards the quidich pitch. Sarah knew that if Curtis did care he would follow her.

Curtis stood there for a long time, watching her walk away. He was fighting with himself, to be truthful. He wanted to follow her. He really wanted to follow her.

But he knew if he did, she'd never be able to get over him. He had to find a way to make her think he didn't like her. He didn't want her to be draged down with him when the time came.

So he stood there. Thinking those thoughts. Over and over in the few seconds. He couldn't choose one or the other.

*Cho I'm fine. I don't want you to come find me when I feel like it I will find you.* Was all Sarah sent to her friend.

"I'm not calling for her. I think I might leave hogwarts. I mean I have that job and they will let me keep it." SArah said as she curled up into a ball crying. She knew that Curtis liked her but he was to afraid. Sarah then spent some time crying but she was using her elemental to make it rain around her.

Sarah loved the rain it seemed to soothe her and that was all she wanted. If she was calm maybe she could forget about him. Maybe was the really about a 5% chance.

[curtis]

Curtis kicked the dirt with his shoe and looked up into the sky. He sighed.
"Mom...I don't know what to do anymore. Please help me." Curtis sincerely believed in angels, and believed that his mother was one. He also thought his mom could hear him.

"I hate this feeling, Mom. I think I love her. But you know I can't tell her that. You of all people know what happens when someone in our family loves someone else." he sounded so confused and hurt. And sad. He was very sad.

Sarah feeling bad for herself decided to use the one spell she had gotten great uat. She summoned her self a butterbeer.

"Well I can have on. No one cares. That and no one will find out." Sarah then got up and heaed down to the broom closet.

"Now lets see how did you get this opened." SArah said to herself once she got it opened she grabbed herself a broom and hurled herself onto it and up in the sky.

[curtis]

Curtis caught a glimpse of Sarah, but didn't know it was her. He had gotton a lot better at riding a broom, and thought about going for a ride. Instead, he turned towards the school and went inside. Immediately, he went up to the tallest tower he could think of and came out on the roof. He sat down on the edge, his legs over it.

"I wonder what would happen if I jumped..." He said, softly, then smiled weakly, "I'd make a nice big splat, I guess."

(lets put some shock in it.)

Sarah was up pretty high. She was starting to feel wozy from just the one butterbeer.

"He don't care about me." SArah said to herself. Before she relized it she was slipping off her broom.

Sarah was now holding on with one hand. She tried to hold on longer but could not and was sent falling from about 20 feet up.

[curtis]

Curtis saw her falling. And had no clue how to stop it. He couldn't apperate, and he had no special powers. he also had no clue that it was Sarah. So he did the only thing he could think of. He pulled out his wand, made a quick prayer to whoever was listening and jumped.

Curtis had jumped from high places before. he had amazing agility, and almost always landed on his feet. But this was a very large tower, and he had never tested his ability.

Luckily for him, he landed and rolled, causing little damage. Then he ran. very fast. Along with agility came speed. he had strong legs from running around as a werewolf. he was almost below her, just a few more feet.

Sarah landed in his arms but was unconious because of how far it was. She was sweaty because of the fact that hse had fought so hard to hand on.

The broom had fallen down next to the stands where the bottle of butterbeer was.

[curtis]

He went to his knees with the impact of her. But he held on. He blew his hair out of his eyes, and simply starred at her.
