HP and the Return of Hermione's Time Turner

FINALLY!!!!!!  AN UPDATE!!!!!  ^_________^ I'm so proud of myself even those this bit will probably suck! ^_^;;;

With a loud sigh, Hermione set down the polish jar, and headed back towards the Griffindor Tower.  Once at the Potrait of the Fat Lady, Hemrione muttered "Golden Phoenix" and climbed tiredly through the hole.

"It's about time, Mia!" Ron didn't glance up from the book he seemed to be reading.

"Speaking of time, about what time is it?"  She asked as she plopped down on a chair next to Ron.

"Around midnight."

Hermione was shocked.  "Really?  I was out that long?"

"Yeah!" There was a brief pause, then Ron said, "sense everyone is asleep, I think we can talk here... Okay, lets get on with it." Ron set his book on the table and turned to Hermione who was almost asleep.

"Get on with what?" Hermione asked.  She had forgotten during the duration of the day what she and Ron were meeting about.

"Hermione!" He whispered, "Remember?"- she shook her head dully-"Malfoy knows about us!"  At this point, Hermione was asleep.

"HERMIONE!" Ron yelled.

"Shh, Ron!  I'm awake!  I'm awake!  No need to wake up the rest of the house." She said with quite a bit of irony.

"So did you hear what  said before you fell asleep?"

"Yeah I remember now." she stifled a yawn.

"Okay, so what are we going to do about it?  he inquired.

"Uhh... sleep.  I really need sleep.  Can we continue this tomorrow night?  I don't want to fall asleep in class again."

Ron started at her tentively for a few moments before saying, "Fine.  Tomorrow, here, the same time.  Okay?"

"Kay." she said, know knowing what Ron said, but agreeing nontheless.

She walked up the girls dormitory stairs, and into the seventh year girls dorms.  Without taking off any of her clothes, she slipped into bed that seemed as comfy as a cloud - opposed to other nights when it was as stiff as a board - and swiftly fell asleep.

The next morning, to Hermione's dismay, was classes again.  They started off with Defense Against the Dark Arts, and ended with Arithmancy.  Each class seemed to drag by so incridibly slowly.  Hermione thought of a common muggle phrase and smiled.

"T.G.I.F." she muttered to herself.

"What was that, Mia?"  Asked Sirius beside her.

"... huh?  Oh.  T.G.I.F." she repeted.

"And that is...."

"Oh!  Sorry.  It means 'Thank God It's Friday'."  Sirius just mouthed an 'o', and she smiled at him.


That evening after supper. Hermione walked out of the great Hall a bit later that everyone else.  As she walked up the first set of stairs, the little hairs on the back of her neck stood on ends, and she had this weird feeling that someone was following her.  She turned around and looked for a presence, but found none.  She shrugged off that feeling and kept walking, but a bit more aggitated now.

A few minutes later, she got that feeling again, and turned as fast as she could to try to catch a glimpse of the Follower.  She saw a second of that oh-so-rare platinum blonde hair.  A small startled scream/squeak escaped her throat, and she ran the rest of the way to Gryffindor Tower, practically yelling the password at the Fat Lady and climbing into the portrait hole.  All of a sudden, she hit something, and fell to the ground.

Oh, it's just Ron! She thought as she looked up.  "Ron!" She said hastely, standing up and brushing off her thighs.  "Where are you going?" Ron looked like he had just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, and Hermione didn't even know what he did!  "What happened?"  She said slowly, eyeing him.

"Uh... nothing happend!  I... umm... that is to say...."

"Just spit it out will you?"  She said, shutting the portrait door.

"I have to go somewhere." He replied fastly.

"Well where are you going??"  Hermione was getting slightly annoyed by his behavior.  "When are we gonna talk about... you know!  Are you going to be back by midnight?"  A few people in the common room where looking at the pair by the portrait hole, making quite a little scene.

"Probably not.  We'll meet... tomorrow!  Yes, tomorrow.  We'll talk while... walking around the lake, okay?"  Ron tried to get passed Hermione, but she stood her ground, denying him passage.  "HERMI'" Ron's eyes went wide, catching his slip.  "MIA!"  he mended poorly. "Please move aside!" Now everyone in the common room was watching with interest.  Ron and Hermione ignored them.

"Why won't you tell me where you're going?"  Hermione was kind of hurt now that he wouldn't tell her.  They were best friends!  They could tell each other anything!

"Fine!  I don't want to be more late than I already am." Ron gave a frustrated sigh and raked his hands through his hair, "I have a... date." He whispered.

"A date?  With who?" Hermione was taken aback.  Ron Wealsey... has a date?  

"Emily.. umm... Smith?  Yes.  Emily Smith."

"That 6th year Ravenclaw?"

"Yeah!  And I'm really late now!  I told you, so will you please  let me leave?"

"Yeah..." she stepped aside and let Ron through.  "Watch out for Malfoy, he's out there somewhere.  And have a good time!"

"K, Mia.  Talk to ya later."  Hermione stood there confused.  Ron hadn't even dared to go out with anyone since he and Hermione broke up in the middle of their sixth year.  Oh well.  Everything has been so messed up since we got here.  Hermione went over to an empty table and started her homework.
