Gary Oldman casting rumours

Rumours have abounded the past two days about Gary Oldman being cast in the next 2 movies - we haven't got a peep in the way of confirmation, so keep that in mind, but being cast in the next "2" movies would make him a prime contender for Sirius Black (since Lupin does not appear in the fourth book). And he does have the look for it. Again, rumour, but fans tell us a "revered Gary Oldman fan site" is reporting it. We'll let you know when we know more. In the meantime check out his IMDB profile. (And Melissa has come back and fixed the many typos she made while writing this up. Sorry.)

More on the Gary Oldman rumors

We do want to note that another new character in Book 3 who reappears in Book 4 is Peter Pettigrew - again, we have no indication at this point which role, if any, Oldman is being touted for. Some of you are also saying Dumbledore - keep in mind that Oldman is only 45, not a Dumbledore-age.

They are. :) Remember, PoA the movie isn't coming out tell 2004.
They are just taking a while getting the casting together, (hopefully being picky) and after all, it's the beginning of a new year! 8)
