Outside Hagrid's Hut

Jackie was up by the water's edge.  She decided a swim would be nice so she jumped in the water.  Seconds later Jackie felt her legs tingle.  Suddenly her legs felt like they were stuck.  She looked down and saw a tail.  "Oh yeah, Mira was half mermaid too.  Must be a family thing."  She muttered to herself before diving into the water into the Merfolk village.  She saw one light on in a small house and swam toward it.  She knocked on the door to see who was inside.

The old woman motioned for everyone to hide, and then went to the door.  She opened it a crack and stuck her head out.  *What do you want?* She growled.

Jessie looked around the room.  She swam behind the couch and held onto the floor so she wouldn't float away.

Leah had followed Jackie, and swam after her.  She had cast a spell to breathe underwater, but since Jackie had a tail, it was hard to keep up.  She watched Jackie knock on the door, and watched from behind a clump of seaweed.

"Hi, I'm Jackie, Mira Saylem's cousin.  She comes down to help wherever she can on weekends."  Jackie said.  She studied the woman she had seen her before.  Oh yeah, she was the old mermaid that Mira helped with the seaweed on her front lawn!

*I see.... and what is your purpose coming here?* The woman said, just slightly nicer.

Jessie heard Jackie's voice and thought to her, *What are you doing here!?*

Leah found it hard to hide behind seaweed because it kept moving.

"Well, I thought that since Mira was leaving that I'd come down here and help with the things she normally does." Jackie said kindly, obviously this woman was a bit on the precautious side, so she didn't say anything to offend her.

*How do you know about her?* The woman whispered, not wanting the guards to overhear.

Leah listened intently, but finally couldn't take it, and swam over to Jackie.  *Hi!* She said to both the old woman and Jackie. Before Jackie could ask questions she thought to her ~Don't worry about me, I followed you here.~

"Mira's my cousin."  Jackie said quietly.  Then she turned around and looked at Leah. ~Why did you follow me?!~ She thought to her

Billie swam over to them. "I hate this tail" she said as she fell again.

"I'll get rid of it for you."  Jackie said, as she mumbled some words.  Then Billie's tail disappeared.  "I taught Mira how to do that stuff.  But she won't be able to do it for much longer because she'll be away from magic for so long the learned talent will go away.  I can barely turn into a dog anymore, it just gets so hard that I barely try anymore so its going away."

Billie stood up and smiled "Thanks I hate fish" Billie said. "No offense but they scare me" she said

Billy? Jessie? Where are you!? Izzy thought as she got lost because she coudn't swim quite as fast. She knew they were trying to find the mermaid village but didn't want to go looking for them because mermaids frightened her. Izzy took a deep breath as she waited for the awnser!

"In this ladys house" Billie sent to her.

Um.. Where's that? she thought back. She figured idt was in the city so she swam towards it. WHen she got there the guard stopped her. He swam up to her and then asked " What do you want? in an annoyed voice. "My friends are already in the village! May i go in to?" THe guard nodded his head in approval and then sighed as he moved out of her way.

~Izzy! We're over here!~Jessie thought to her, lighting up her wand so it would blink.

~I had to! I was the only one on shore, and no one would answer my thoughts!~ Leah thought to Jackie.  *So uhm... can we come in?* Leah asked the woman.

The old woman opened the door and let them swim inside.  Then she glanced around outside before shutting it again.

"Okay" Izzy said to her self seeing the house where Jessi was. She swam over to it and knocked polietly on it and thenleaned back andfloated while she waited for somebody to open the door.
