New and Wondering Around

[James Karter]

 James walked into the Gryffindor common room. He sighed as he looked around, this place was A LOT different than Durmstrang. He sank into the couch and stretched his long legs out in front of him.

Stacey was walking down the stairs to the common room when she heard someone come in. She peered around the corner and saw someone she didn`t know sitting on the couch. She walked down into the room and walked up behind the couch. "Hello, who are you?"

James stood up. "Um, I`m James Karter." He announced. He walked closer to her by taking two long strides. "Who are you?"

"Stacey Black." She said, looking the boy over. She turned around to face the door becasue someone was coming in.

Billie came skipping in with Pete following her with a smile on his face. Billie stopped and looked at Stacey then the boy. "Hey Stacey" She said smiling. "Hey who are you?" She asked.

Pete walked over to Billie and put his arm around Billies shoulders. If you didn't know they were brother and sister, with as much time as they spend together you would think they were together. "Hey Stacey" He said then looked at the boy and sized him up. "Seventh year?" he asked.

James looked at the two new people. He looked at the older one. "Yea." He answered. "You?"

"Seventh" Said Pete. "And shes in fifth" Pete said poking Billie in the side making her laugh.

James smiled. "Brother and sister?" He asked.*Or are yo together?* He thought, trying to see if Pete could read minds.

"Brother and sister" Billie answered quickly. "Thats just gross, me and Pete.. why thats just ick" Billie said. "If you want to send a message just to one person you have to work harder" Billie said.

James raised an eyebrow and completely blocked his mind to Pete. *It`s not that hard.* He thought just to Billie. He could make a block that only the most powerful wizards could penetrate.

*Maybe because your more powerful then I thought* She sent to him, but let Pete read her mind as they both sat down.
