Stacey smiled and gently squeezed Nate`s hand as the doctor pulled the thread in and out of her skin, working his way down her cheek to her neck. Stacey kept her eyes locked on Nate`s. They were soft grey, slightly pulsing darker.

He squeezed her hand gently. He moved his lips but didnt say it. The words of 'I love you.'

Stacey`s eyes flashed brighter. Tears spiked her eyes. 'I love you, too.' She mouthed back, holding back the tears.

Leah saw Nate hold Stacey's hand, and saw how much it hurt him to do so.  She wasn't sure how long he would hold out, and her teeth grew just slightly. She watched the quiet exchange, trying to read their expressions.

He fought against the urge of tasting her blood. He was trying to be strong and was succeeding. He held her hand, and looked at her through soft eyes. He didnt breathe though, afraid of the smell. But since he was a vampier it was easier to hold his breath.

Leah wanted to tell him to stop, but she knew that she would do the same for someone who mattered that much to her.  She watched it hurt him, trying to think of a way to help, but not coming up with any.

Stacey winched slightly as the doctor finished stitching up her wound and began dabbing at it with a sterile pad. 'I`m sorry.' Stacey mothed to Nate. She didn`t think he knew how imtimate his touch was for her. To her, it seemed like he had avoided even being around her.

He shook his head,"Its not your fault." He whispered through gritted teeth

Stacey tried shaking her head, but the doctor stopped her movement. "It is. A-" She caught herself before she spoke. A cat had not scratched her, it had been  'a wild animal,' so to speak.

Nate looked at her confused. "I dont understand

Stacey sighed and glanced at the busy doctor. Another vampire did this to me. She answereed quickly.

His eyes pierced an angry sharpness. His hands turned into fists, trying to hold in his anger. who?

I don`t know, Stacey thought quickly. I didn`t recognize him, but I`m fine, so don`t worry about me. She assured. She standed up quickly.

Nate layed his hand on her shoulder and pushed her gently back down in a sitting position,"You shouldnt move." His eyes blank, blocking out his emotions.

Stacey sighed in her mind. "Fine." she said outloud. Don`t try to hide anything, I can feel your emmotions rolling off of you just as well as Alice can. Her eyes flickered to the silent vampire, who smiled in return.
