((Sorry. I was watching Monster's VS Aliens.))


Seth sighed as he released her hand. How could he convince her? He tried and tried. Did she even want him to be a vampire? Seth knew how Alice had seen her loved ones die. He wanted to be there for her through that. Through everything. He wanted to be her companion.

"Then kill me. My blood is yours."

((You confused me with that last line...))

Alice was suddenly sitting up, her eyes locked on his.

"I don`t want to take your life away from you. Can`t you understand that? I want you to live your life. I`m just too selfish to let you." She hissed. "Yes, I want you with me forever," She asnwered, having heard the question in his mind. "But I`m not just going to rip your humanity right out from under you."

[Sky]

((It meant that she could take it for all he cared.))

"I do want to live my life. With you. I know the risks. I know the sacrifices. I'm ready." Seth looked at her.

"And if I really have to, I'll have someone else change me if you won't. I'm not going back on this. I'm not changing my mind."

Alice gently squeezed Seth`s hand, again looking at the ground. Maybe she could put him off, delay all of this...

"Okay." She said softly. "Okay, I`ll do it, you know I will. Just... not right now. You have to let me wait until I`m ready." She looked up at him through her thick eyelashes, begging him to agree without words, just a pleading look.

Seth smiled. That would work. She at least said she would do it.

He embraced her and closed his eyes. "I love you."

Alice leaned forward and brushed the back of her hand across her cheek.

"If I can`t... can`t do it, you have to promise me that you won`t get somebody else to do it." She said softly, looking at his closed eyes. That would be her one condition. But then she thought about it for a second longer...

"And you have to marry me." She added softly, her voice barely a whisper.

[Sky]

Seth's eyes opened at her icy touch, gazing into hers.  "Of course." He whispered, his hand traveling through her hair.

A smile was etched on hi face as he leaned forward enough to rest his forehead against hers.

Alice ran a fingertip over his cheekbone, staring into his eyes. Here, in this moment, with his hand in her hair, the moonlight, and warmth radiating from him, she was happy.

"I love you." She said softly, and she knew that she meant it. She knew that she could never watch him die. She knew that deep down, she could have never let him go.

[Sky]

Despite this whole debate over becoming a vampire, Seth was happy.

They were still together in this perfect night, the moon blanketing them in an ivory colored light.

"Now...," his voice was still in a whisper, "would you kiss me?"

The question caught her off guard, even though she could have seen him ask in in his mind before the words came out of his mouth. She looked down for a short moment, not even a second, and then looked back up into his deep, dark eyes.

As an answer, she leaned forward slightly and pressed her lips softly against his, her hand still on his cheek.

Seth pulled away and looked at her.

"Thank you. I thought you would say no for sure." He said, stroking her cheek. The coldness lingered on his lips for a few seconds.

The heat that flooded over her cheek felt so warm and comforting.

"I thought you deserved it. It feels like I`ve said no to everything." She explained softly.

[Sky]

Seth looked down. "You had good reasons to." He said, feeling a little bad.

He kept his hand on her cheek, warming her.

"Tell me about your dream wedding."

Alice looked down at the crook of Seth`s arm and traced random patterns on his skin. His hand on her cheek felt good, familiar. Her skin would eventually rise to be the same as his where he touched her, if his hand stayed therelong enough.

"Why?" She asked softly. "It`s old-fashioned, and I`ve had a long time to work out the details." She smirked.

"Tell me about them." He said, sparked with interest.
