Jason chuckled softly and moved. "Keep your eyes closed." He said softly. They had appeared in a narrow, dark alley. There were sounds of lots of people nearby, coming from a square. He carefully led her out of the alley and turned her around.

He moved behind her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Okay, you can open them now."

They were in Rome.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"
FOREVER WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH.
"And now I understand a phrase I once thought odd;
I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Sky

Sky slowly opened her eyes, and what she saw practically took her breath away. The scene was absolutely beautiful. There were people walking about, looking happy as can be. There were two guitar players playing beside a large fountain where people sat along reading books and chatting, their cases open for donations.

"Are we really...in Rome?" Sky asked, astounded.

Jason nodded and squeezed her shoulders.

"Yeah. It`s a beautiful city, and I wanted to share it with you." The ground was paved in stone, and there were great buildings around the entire square, some also made it stone. There was ancient places standing next to modern ones, but it all seemed to blend in together.

Sky

"It really is beautiful." Sky said, still staring at the sight of it all. She almost wish she had a camera, but nothing was like seeing this in person.

Jason smiled and ran his fingers through the ends of her hair, moving to stand next to her.

"Yeah. I wanted you to see it-- I didn`t think you`d ever been here before." She took her hand and squeezed it gently.

Sky

Sky smiled as his hand found hers, its warmth pleasant around her cool fingers.   "I've definitely never been here before." She said. "I think I've only been to the U.S and here."

"Are you hungry?" Jason asked, starting to lead her to the left. He had a little sideways smirk that made it obvious that he had something planned.

((We sure aren`t going to win any length-related awards tonight. =D ))

Sky

((XD I don't have much to work with! Sorry!))

Sky shrugged. "I'm not starving, but if you're hungry, then I'm hungry." She said with a grin.

((I know, I know.))

Jason shook his head and pulled her towards a building. It looked really old, but it was somehow in perfect condition. It had been fashioned out of a tan stone, and someone had worked and electric sign to the front of it. The sign said something in Italian, but it looked kind of like pizzaroni, just with a few different letters.

"Here we go." He said, holding the door open for her. The smell of baking crust wafted over them, along with another, subtle smell.

Sky

"Thank you." Sky said as she walked through the door. Jason was such a gentlemen. She could smell a whole bunch of different scents, but the smell of crust was the strongest, and it smelled delightful. They were greeted by a short, pudgy man with a thick black mustache and a white shirt with a white apron that was stained with flour. He started saying something in another language, and Sky had no idea what it was. Perhaps it was a greeting because the man seemed happy.

Jason smiled and put his arms around Sky, looking at the man. He pointed at the both of them, then towards the back of the restraunt where there was an empty booth. The fat man laughed and shook his head, saying something in Italian before waving at them to follow and leading them to the booth.

"Maybe I should have learned a little Italian before I brough you here." He joked, sliding into one side of the booth.

Sky

Sky laughed. "It's okay. He probably knows English and just wants to freak us out." She scooted into the seat across from him and fidled with the rolled up green napkin holding her eating utensils.

Jason watched Sky mess with the napkin and smiled a little.

"Get whatever you want. They have pizza, if you couldn`t smell it." He leaned forward onto his elbows.

((YAY.))

Sky

"Pizza sounds really good." Sky said, pulling her hand from the napkin and taking a deep breath of the pizza scented air. "How did you come across this place?" She asked curiously.

Jason shrugged and smirked.

"I have my ways." He replied. A skinny waitress walked up, then, adjusting her white apron before looking up to her two customers.

"Hello, my name is Callie and I`ll be your waitress for this evening. Can I get you anything to drink?" Her had a high-pitched voice and she looked really bored when she spoke. She had said it in English the first time, but she had gone on to repeat it in Italian.

"Cola, for me." Jason said, looking at Sky again.
