Daniel Radcliffe is to Quit after theThird Harry Potter Movie

HARRY Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will not play the schoolboy wizard again. The
13-year-old has told friends he wants to concentrate on his studies and will not be
involved in a fourth film of the series. His decision ends months of speculation over
his future, which surfaced after the premiere of the second film, Harry Potter And The
Chamber Of Secrets. Back then, Daniel made strong hints that he wanted to give up
the coveted role which made him famous around the world. Warners, which makes
the films based on J.K. Rowling's books, is said to have been ready for such an
event. Insiders say there has been a series of informal casting sessions with young
actors. The decision also casts doubt on the future of the films' other child stars,
Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who play Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The
trio were only under contract for the first three films in the series, the third of which –
Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban – is being filmed now. Despite beating
nearly 40,000 others to one of the most coveted roles in cinema – and earning an
estimated £2 million per film – Daniel has never been a huge fan of the stories. A
friend at the private City of London School, at which he enrolled last year, said
Daniel had had enough of playing Harry Potter and wanted to concentrate on his
studies for the GCSE. "He really just wants to get back to his ordinary life – he
doesn't like the attention and just wants to concentrate on his exams."

Me too, and i hope they pick someone that looks really like him. Not like on so many other movies were they take a guy, or girl, that looks nothing like his/her predisessor.

WWWWAAAAAIIIITTTTT!!!! EVERYONE CALM DOWN LISTEN TO THIS...well read this i guess u would say...ne way...that's not true!

Dan was on TRL the other day talking about the third movie, Damion on the show asked him if the rumors were true that he was quitting after the third movie, he said and i quote
"All the rumors that have been going around aren't true. i love doing the movies and i would like to stay on as long as possible...lets just hope they don't get sick of me..." he laughs and end of quote.
