*a particulaly slow song comes on and gets an idea, but before speaks it James speaks*

James: you wanna dance?

me:*smiles* shure! *they stand and clasp to eachother and dance**rests head on his shoulder and wraps arms around his neck**closes eyes, lost in the moment*

me: *smiles* yea, i'd love to *kisses his cheek and stands up with him and moves out onto the dance floor*

Scott: *turns to Ellz* wanna dance?

*breaks apart from James and looks at him curiously* you know, you have the same name my dad has-I mean had......

James:that may be because I`m Sirius`s son.

me:*mouth drops* oh...well........

James:*holds her hands gently and kisses them, then looks into her eyes* long story. *holds her close agian*

*looks happy for a second but her face changes to slight upsetment and embarrassment*

..Thank you but..I'm sorry....I...can't....

*stands up ubrubtly and walks towards the doors, looking really hurt*

*Still dancing with Draco, looks out over the crowd and notices Pansy, staring in great anger at the two best friends.*

Scott: *frowns and looks disappointed. stands up and follows her* hey! wait! *catches up to her* what's wrong? *frowns again* was it something i said?

*looks up at him, teary-eyed*

no...its not you..your the only guy thats been willing to ask me to dance...do you know Scott?...there is what people call a gift that i have...it is not a gift *sniffs*..its a burden...look at all the guys in this room, look at all the happy girls with their guys...I can't dance because...Scott I'm a Veela, and i cannot control what happens when i dance..I'm sorry.

*rushes out of the room and leans against a wall in the hall, crying.*

Scott: *runs after her again and stands in front of her and rests an arm around her shoulder* it's ok, really. i'm sorry, i didn't know, i didn't mean to make you upset.

*the song ends and they sit back on the couch**eventually stands and sits in his lap**laughs and kisses him on the cheek*

*wipes the black tears away and looks at the ground*

no, i should be apologising...i'm sorry, i shouldn't have even come to the dance if i wasn't able to do what everyone else would be doing...I should have known i'd get upset, i'm sorry...

*pushes strands of hair out of her face and behind her ears and smiles shyly at him*

Scott: it's ok, really. *wipes a tear away from her cheek and smiles*

me:*is dancing with Justin*

gets off his lap and says goodbye and leaves the room, thinking, tonight was just fun, right, there was nothing really there......right? *frowns and strart up the staircase toward the griffindor common room where sits in chair and looks up aat the ceiling, deep confusion written across her face*

me: *song ends and looks up at Justin and smiles* so, the party starts in an hour? *hopes the party starts sooner because feet are already beginning to hurt a bit*

Kiara and Draco head to the Ravenclaw room together, leaving a fumonmg Pansy to trail behind whilst they talk excitedly about the party*
