ahhh....*it's a quiet clear night at the lake with the full moon hanging bright and high. In the distance she could hear a werewolf, but she's not troubled. She dove in the lake, changing shape into a graceful mermaid. Her green hair billowed out behind her as she swam.* this is the only place where i feel truly free...

*He was by the lake watching the waves bob up and down when he saw something that looked like a mermaid in the water.*

[cho chang]

*she surfaced, and saw a figure standing beside the lake*who could it be, here at the lake so late at night? *she wondered. Frightened because she didn't want ppl to find out she was a mermaid, she quickly dove back in the lake again*

*He stared because he thought he was seeing things. When he blinked it was gone.So he quickly turned invisable and walked around the lake looking for the thing he saw.*

*after a while, she surfaced, and seeing no one around, she changed back into a witch and walked back to the castle*

*He turned visable again and saw that the mermaid had changed back.He couldnt tell who it was though.*

*the next day, she was hurrying to Transfiguration. she sat down, and behind her was a boy with long red hair. she blinked, thinking he looked slightly familiar.*

*He looked at the girl in front of him.He had never seen her before but he didnt care.He was still thinking of the thing he saw in the water the night before.*

*prof  McGonagall came in and said "today we're learning about Animagus'. There is a natural kind, where people are born with powers to change into other creatures, and the kind where you have to learn how to. As well as normal animals, you can also change shape into magical creatures such as unicorns, phoenix, or mermaids.*
*she felt her face grow hot and sank down a little lower into the seat*

*He saw here sink into her chair *Well theres a good thing and a bad thing about this.The good thing is i can see better.The bad thing is shes getting nervous.*He thought for a second.Ill help her out at the end of class.*

*MacDongall went on:"also, in rare occasions, a magical creature, such as a mermaid, can change into humans"*
*sank even lower*why am i so embrassed? *she wondered angrily*Because i don't want to be more diffrent than i already am *she answered herself sadly. Luckily, MacDonagall stopped talk about mermaids. The class ended and she gathered her books to go*

*He walked to her nervously.*Are you ok?

yeah *she smiles weakly*

*He was sure something was bothering her but he couldnt put his finger on it*Well we need to go.Charms is in a few minutes.

what? oh yeah, right *she hugged her books to her chest and started walking away quickly. she was confused. she desperatly needed a friend, but who would when they find out she's a mermaid? they would think her a freak*
