The arrival of "Shad"

"Why not?" Ginny asked, looking back at the two.

{{lolz, odd? I dunno. In real life, 'tis something I do, tap my lips, or bottom lip in thought, though sometimes I miss and hit my cheek, or nose, and lose my train of thought, thinking now that I'm a total dolt. Lmao. But Lavender is supposed to be mysterious and graceful. Not like me, lmao.}}

"You can be no worse than my worst enemy.."
Lavender shrugged, and picked up an apple, taking a bite, and leaning her elbows upon the table with a thoughtful expression, in her tired state, forgetting to finish her sentence..

(lol,well...thats pretty much what shad is,the oppisite of me.But he is a character of my book,so maybe there's a bit of me in him)*shad looked at her*wow,who the h***'s your enemy,Your beautiful and...I can tell your quite powerful,who would be foolish enough to get on you're bad side?

"I do sometimes,but I'm not her enemy." She grinned.

Lavender had heard only a few times, from others, that she was beautiful. She didn't think it, in fact she disagreed, for other than being comfortable with herself, and being able to move with fluidness, she paid no attention. She didn't understand all the fuss with those certain people so obsessed with their looks. She could dress up nicely, and she could maintain decency, but her main focus was comfort, and movement. She didn't get it, and didn't know how to respond to that.

Lavender blinked at both Shad and Ginny, swallowing her apple piece, her many shaded green eyes revealing nothing, simply taking in and grasping all she needed, but letting out, not a thing.

"Myself. I am that way," she said after a moment, quietly, gravely. "I am my own, worst enemy."

"Arn't we all?" Ginny questioned, looking back at the head table as the first years were brought in.

"Probably.." Lavender agreed, taking another small bite of her apple, her eyes not once moving to the head table, watching instead, the solid outlines of her neighbors plate

Ginny sighed as McGonagll began the sorting. This stuff took to long.

*shad watched as others ate* *he sighed,remembering he forgot to take care of something,and dissapearing*(g2g)

Lavender finished her apple in the time it took to finish the sorting, and nearly the entire ceremony. Once it was finished, she rose from the table, and wandered off, finding herself in the Gryffindor common room later, curled up upon the chair closest to the fire. She rested her head upon her knees, her side slouched against the back of the chair, her being beneath a checkered blanket. She closed her eyes, and was soon, asleep.

Ginny was patrolling the halls, softly. Normally, the first night back was quiet, and she wanted it to stay that way.

*shad reappears in the gryffindor common room* *he glanced down at lavender*

Beneath the aged blanket, Lavender was utterly still. Her being was as calm and relaxed and drowsy as it had been when she was far off in true sleep. But as soon as Shad had arrived, her dazzling green eyes had flickered open. She glanced from him, to the dancing flames, wordless.

*he nodded his head in her direction*I didn't disturb you,did I?

"No," her fine lips murmured after a quiet moment.
She snuggled close into the plump chair, warmed by the blanket, and brisk fire, her temple shifting to set upon a different area of her knee, her pale hand tucking a stray strand of raven hair behind her ear.

"You did not bother me. No worries."
