Aiden

((They're back at the house, right?))

Aiden ran down the stairs and jumped from the second to the bottom step onto the floor.  He hurried around the corner, turning to where Stacey stood impatiently.  He quickly picked her up and spun her around in his strong arms, a childish smile on his face.

Aiden gave her a quick, teasing peck on the lips and put her down.  He took his hand with hers and laced their fingers together.
"Sorry love, just getting ready.  Time to go?"  He asked, still smiling.

((Oops. Yeah, sorry.))

Stacey giggled and kissed Aiden back, her eyes flickering an electric blue as she did so. She pulled at the sleeves of her dark green shirt, anxious.

"Yeah, time to go. I`m excited." She said quickly, pulling the door open and holding it for her husband. She wasn`t exactly excited. She was nervous and scared, but she wanted proof that she was pregnant. She just... felt like she had to be sure. She knew that she was probably overreacting, but she couldn`t help it.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"
FOREVER WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH.
"And now I understand a phrase I once thought odd;
I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Aiden

Aiden lifted his arm over her head to the grab the door, holding it open for her.  He smiled and raised an eyebrow, using his other to direct her to go first.

"After you."  He replied.

He could tell that there was something more than exciting in Stacey, if there was excitement.  Him being so close to her, he had grown uccustom to her different emotions and able to read her easily, making it easier on himself too.

Aiden tilted his head as he held the door open.
"It'l be okay, love."  Aiden reassure, knowing she would most likely never express her anxiety about something about this.

Stacey smiled and took a few steps out the front door. It calmed her to know that Aiden could see how she felt. She didn`t know what to think about being pregnant-- she was young, really young, but she knew that she would be able to take care of her children no matter what. She would be a strong mother.

"I know, I`m just... nervous." She admitted quietly, looking down the street. They had decided on a Muggle hospital and doctors instead of the wizadring doctors. Muggle medicine tended to work a little better, and both of them had been raised with Muggle doctors.

Suddenly no longer as excited, Stacey reached for Aiden`s hand. His warmth always made her feel better.

Aiden

Aiden gave her an encouraging smile.  He wrapped his warm fingers around her slightly colder ones, adoring the feeling of her familiar hand in his own.  He began to walk down the rock driveway with Stacey at his side.

"I understand babe.  I'm nervous, too.  I'm nervous to find out what the doctor says, nervous about our kids, and nervous about you."  He explained to her.

Aiden cleared his throat, looking ahead.  He squinted his eyes as the sun beamed down on them.
"On the other hand, I think everything's going to be okay."

Stacey squeezed his hand, looking at the ground as she walked. She really didn`t need to fall and hurt herself.

"You really think that everything`s going to be okay?" She asked, handing him the keys to his Chevrolet and moved towards the passenger door. "I just... don`t know. It feels like it`s too soon or something." Her eyes had darkened to a dusty grey in her worry. She didn`t like the fact that Aiden knew she was nervous. She felt like she should be strong, not freaking out.

Aiden

Aiden nodded, knowing he meant what he said and he was going to stand behind what he felt.  Aiden walked over to Stacey's passenger door and opened it for her, leaving it open.  He leaned against the the door and looked at her.

"Yes, I know what you mean by it being too soon.  However, I think this will be a good thing.  Maybe it was some kind of plan that was already set out for us.  Like sooner would be better than later."  He explained to her, a glimpse of Johnathan coming into his mind.  However he quickly thought of something else incase Stacey just happened to be listening to his thoughts.

Aiden stared into her eyes, not liking the grey look in them that couldn't hide her worry.
"But yes love.  I do feel strongly that everything will be okay.  We have each other and I know we can make this work.  You're a strong woman, and I know that you'll be a great mother.  You already are a great wife."
He took her hand and offered her to sit down.

Stacey took a step closer to the door, her mind clouded and feeling heavy. She felt... doubtfull. Like something was off... She shook the feeling away and looked up into Aiden`s eyes. He always made her feel better, and he always knew exactly what to say to make her feel better.

"There`s not a single hour that goes by that I don`t remember why I love you." She said softly as she squeezed his hand. Aiden was what kept her going everyday, what held her up. She knew that she would crumble without him there with her.

"Okay, if we don`t leve now we`re going to be late." Stacey said. She slid into her seat and closed the door. She wanted to get to the doctor`s now, she wanted to have proof that everything really would be okay.

((Do you want to skip to when they get there? If so, go ahead.))

Aiden

Aiden stepped out of the car and over to Stacey's door, holding it open.  He looked ahead at the tall building in front of them that read May's Clinic.  He cupped one hand over his eyes to block the sun so he could look at the doctors office.  Aiden suddenly felt nervous and a sense of excitement within him.

"Are you ready, love?"   He asked.

Stacey got out of the car and stood beside Aiden, slipping her warm hand into his.

'I`ve been ready all morning." She replied softly. A sudden feeling of anxiety washing over her. She wanted to get in there and get out, she no longer felt like she had to rush in. She pressed her hand against her stomach and stared at the large set of doors.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"

Aiden

Aiden followed her hand to her stomache and rested his over hers.  He then closed Stacey's door and opened the front door to the main lobby.  It had a very businesslike feel and had the doctors' office smell.  It wasn't too comforting.

Aiden swallowed the lump of tense nervousness in his throat and walked up to the receptionist.
"I have an appointment for Gray, ma'am."  He said politely

The older, bored woman nodded and looked at both of them through her glasses that hung low on her nose.

"Yes, the doctor will see you in a moment.  You can sit in the waiting room until he calls you hun."

Aiden nodded his thanks, and sat down next to Stacey.  He gave her an encouraging smile.

Stacey silently followed Aiden into the building, instantly disliking it. Everything felt cold and boring, no color anywhere. The woman who directed them to the waiting room didn`t seem too welcoming, either. She returned the smiled her husband gave her, even though she took no comfort from it. It was obvious that Aiden felt the same way she did.

"I`m not so sure about this, my moon." Stacey said softly as she crossed her legs. She felt uncertain and... worried. Something didn`t feel right. "I don`t know what it is, but something is off."

Aiden

Aiden frowned.  He may have felt the same exact thing, but it made him feel worse that Stacey, too, felt on edge.  Almost like something was wrong.

Aiden took one of Stacey's hands in both of his.  He took a quick glance at the rather large receptionist that was staring right at both of them.  He cleared his throat and edged closer to Stacey, looking into his wife's eyes.

"Off?  How?" Aiden asked quietly so the nosey older woman wouldn't be over hearing on their conversation.
Although he asked why she felt that way, he too felt it.  However, he wanted to know exactly what she felt before he ellaborated his own similar feelings.

Stacey lifted her large eyes to the lady behind the counter. The elder started back without flinching, and Stacey let her eyes grom dark red. The lady looked away.

Looking back to Aiden she spoke again: "I don`t know how to explain it. It just... feels wrong here. Like something didn`t go right." She pressed her free hand against her stomach again. Not for the first time she wished that she could use her powers to know what was inside of herself.

Aiden

Aiden nodded.  He took a quick glance at everyone around him before focusing on Stacey again.

"Yes, I know what you mean.  I sort of do have an off feeling about this place. I'm not sure what it is either. Just like something's wrong."

Aiden sighed and flipped his hair out of his eyes. He gently grabbed Stacey's free hand and slowly wrapped both of his hand around hers.  He lifted it up and kissed it softly.
"Maybe we're just getting paranoid.  I mean, we've both never been in this situation before, and maybe we're thinking like this because we don't know what to expect."  He pointed out.
