"Neo, I love you. I'm just not with you." Lavy kissed him again.

"THEN WHY EVEN SAY IT?! DO YOU ENJOY THE TORMENT THOSE WORDS BRING ME SINCE WE CAN NEVER BE TOGETHER?!" he yelled back at her.

"Becasue it's true. And sometimes truth hurts. But you need to know that I will never stop loving you." Lavy said starting to cry.

[Neo]

Neo stopped yelling and felt a rush of shame when he saw her standing there crying. He was so tired of being the cause of her tears. "I know you do Lavy" he said in a barely audible wisper "but try and see it from my point of view. Not only do I love someone I can never be with, the one I love is going to end up marrying someone I detest. It just seems like life is screwing me everywhere I turn. Its almost like I was never meant to be truly happy and whole." He took a deep breath, walked over, stroked her hair and said "I'm sorry I have been the cause of so much pain and tears for you. You deserve better than someone like me. I live in a cave" he said, adding the last part as a feeble attempt to make her smile. "I will protect you, and help you, and I will never stop loving you, but I will try and stay uninvolved with your heart. It destroys me inside when I see tears on your beautiful face, and I don't want to be the cause of any more of them. I was being selfish, I see that now, and I'm sorry." He took her head in his hands and kissed her forehead. "I love you Lavy, but I love you too much to put you through more pain, which you will undoubtedly find if you stay here with me." And with that he stepped back and Dissapperated her back to Hogworts without another word.

Lavy smiled and wiped the tears away. "I'm always going to cry dear. That's what I do. I try somthing and when I fail I cry.But the I stop cry and do what's right, or at least what I think is right. I I do know what I should do now."

Neo stared at the spot where Lavy had been only moments before, his mind and his heart battling over wether or not what he did was right or not. Eventually he turned his back on the spot and walked away.

"Going your oppsit direcitons?"
"I don't know." Lavy turned to the lake walked over to it and sat down by the waters edge.
"Are you going back?"
"I'm his second in command. So yes I am going back."
"When?"
"A few days."
"Why so late."
"You mean so early. I already know that when ever he sees me next it's going to rip him again...but it's for the good of all mankind. And matter how much it hurts us, it for the greater good and I can't lose sight of that."
"You sound like your trying to convince yourself it's the right thing to do."
"I am, and it is working, but not as well as I had hoped."

[Neo]

Neo walked to Xula and told him to put his people in place in the Ministry. Then he talked to his other Directors to make sure that the Malfoys had indeed been eliminated, and then walked back to his office, instructed Piet that under no circumstances was he to be disturbed, and then walked into his office and slamed and locked the door. Then he went to his chair sat down, and, for the who knows how many timth today, wept for his broken heart.

From the connection between Lavy and Neo, Lavy could feel his tears and his pain, but she refuesed to move form her spot.
"Lavy don't be so stubrun, go to him."
"No, he made a promise, and I made a promise."
"Lavy."
"What?"
"Go."
"No way, no how."
"Lavender Samantha Brown, go right this minute."
"Nope." Lavy laied down.

Neo was sitting at his deck with a knife in his hands, twirling it around and around. There had been many successes this past week, and a few failures, he remembered with a jolt but ignored the feeling and pressed on with his rememberances.

"But we have never done something on this scale before.
"Then go make up with her, this may be your last chance."
"No, if she wanted to be anywhere near me she would have tried to come back by now, she knows I gave her the counter-charms to get in here"
"Maybe she wants to but is just afraid your going to cry and scream like a little child throwing a tantrum again, did you ever think of that?"
"Shut up and leave me alone, I got more important things than this to worry about right not"
"You think just because you try and shut down your feelings you can quiet, me, your heart?"
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. There are bigger things at stake than just my happiness, namely MY LIFE! And if I don't live through this, you won't either."
"Which is why you two should make up, otherwise you'll both regret forever having left on those terms and not having the chance to make up. I'm right Neo, you know I am, and no matter what you try and say otherwise nothing will change the fact that you need to listen to your heart."
"Oh really? And who the hell are you to tell me what to do, eh? I distinctly remember listening to 'my heart' with the last person I loved a long time ago. Remember what happened? I know you do. So give me one good reason why I should listen to you this time, just one."

And thus Neo sat at his desk, twirling his knife, debating with his heart on what to do about Lavy before he left on the mission.
