Study session (OPEN!!)

[Virgil Hendrix]

It was mid-day, as Virgil sat in the Gryffindor Common Room, as Virgil sat in a dark red armchair, as the sun from the outside was setting inside the room, from the nearby window, and the rays shot onto the book sitting in the middle of his lap which read 'Divination' on the front cover in big letters simply.  The book was no thin book, as it had around 150 pages in it.  Virgil sighed, and looked to the ceiling before opening the book, and turned to chapter 5.  Virgil absolutely hated Divination, which would probably explain his mediocre grades in it.  Virgil looked down at the text, as he started to read.  Not much longer, he slammed the book closed, as he sat it on a table that sat next to the chair he was sitting in, and sat back in his chair.  'I am never gonna pass that class... Its just so boring!' he thought to himself.

Billie looked out her window. Finally she was going to get out of her room. Billie jumped off her bed, and put on her shoes that she had taken off earlier. She had been in her room all day waiting to be able to come out. Billie smiled as she opened her door, and walked down the stairs. When she got to the bottom of the stairs she missed a step, and started to trip then she caught herself gracefully.

Billie sensed someone in the room. She looked over at the chairs, and saw a frustrated Virgil. Billie walked over to him, and saw his Divination book. "Don't you just love Divination!" she said. "It is so easy and the teacher rocks" Billie said picking up his book. Okay she was telling the complete truth. "I use to take it and it was pretty easy, but i dropped out when we got that new teacher" Billie said happily then flipped through the pages of his book, and looked at his homework. As she looked at it then looked up at him. "Would you like some help with your homework?" she asked. She felt like being nice today.

Virgil heard a small thud coming from the direction of the girls sleeping quarters, as Virgil curiously glanced in the direction of the noise.  He spotted Billie, who had apparently just woken up, or something to that effect.  The light in the room shifted for a second, as a cloud covered up the sun, which made the room slightly darker.

Virgil looked over at Billie, as she approached him.  He raised an eyebrow at Billie, as usually, she wouldn't be this helpful at first sight, but he decided to just go with it, as it was pretty pleasant.  "I dunno how divination could ever be fun.  I think I am failing it, and unless I can make a decent prediction before the next test, I will fail." Virgil said, as he glanced towards the book that now rested within Billie's arms.  "I could really use that help right about now.  We have to do this." Virgil said, as he pointed to a spot on in the book that was marked for his homework.

Billie smiled and sat in a chair across from Virgil. She looked over the page then at his homework then reread the page again. "Oh so all you have to do is explain what is going to happen in the near future" she said then stopped and reread it again. "Wait no" she said studied it. "You need to describe what your future is" she said. "So pretty much just put you are going to trip soon, then fake trip after the teacher reads it." Billie said smiling. "Then they will give you good marks, and you'll pass" she said. "When I was in this class I made up stuff. I made it reasonable though" she added.

Virgil looked across at Billie as he laughed a little bit.  The idea of faking a prediction had never crossed his mind, and now that it has, it seemed to have been a good idea, and maybe it would work, it would just have to be believable.  "I've never thought of that Billie.  No wonder you've gotten so many good grades in there." Virgil said as he looked down into the book.  "I guess I could give that a shot.  Its probably my best chance of passing, because I definitely can't get all the rest of this crap." he said, as he closed the book, and sat it back on the table sitting next to him.

Billie had no emotion in ehr face or voice. "Thats not the only reason I got good grades in there" She began. "Before the new teacher came I could read tea leaves very well, and I could see anything in a crystal ball" She said. "I am very good at that kind of stuff. I think its because in dark magic books it talks about it a lot, and I learned a lot from them" she said. Billie suddenly stood up and smiled someone was walking down the stairs, and she knew who it was.

Pete looked at the clock and smiled. "Well Billies up now" he said and grabbed a jacket and put it on. He opened the door and walked down the stairs. At certian times during the year Billie can't be near Pete and Pete can't be near her. They don't know why, but their parents said it had something to do with them both being vampires and being together to much. Billie normally stays in her room for the time and Pete stays in his. Pete looked into the commonroom and saw Billie and some guy he didn't know. He didn't sense anything weird about the boy so Pete left him alone. He walked over to Billie, and put his arm around ehr shoulders and gave her a side hug. "Hey Billie doing homework?" he asked her and looked at the book and realized that it wasn't Billie who had homework, but Virgil who had homework. "Hey I'm Pete" he said. Pete looked at the book and laughed. "I haven't ever taken that class, but I hear its really boring" he said as he sat down.

Virgil sighed as this was nearly torture for him.  He looked at Billie, as he heard a small creak on the stairs before turning to see who else was coming down into the common room now.  Virgil didn't know who it was, but he saw him somewhere before.  He never actually never came into contact with this person, but I guess he would today.  He watched as the man walked over infront of him, giving Billie a hug, and spoke.  "Actually, she is helping me with my homework.  And that class is really boring, I fell asleep countless times.  Oh, I am Virgil by the way." said Virgil with a small grin.

Leah walked in through the portrait and set he heavy book bag down on a coffee table.  Only then did she notice that there were other people in the room.  She smiled and said, *Hey guys! What homework do you have?*

Pete nodded to him. "Nice to meet you Virgil" he said. "Falling asleep wont help you get your grades up" he said. "Or at least make it look like your really into crystal ball gazing and as long as you don't snore you'll get high marks" Pete said. "I took this class my third and fourth year" he said. "It was pretty boring, but as soon as I saw the teacher make a real prediction. I got into it a lot more." Pete looked over at Leah who had just walked in. Pete smiled. "Hey Leah" he said. "I'm don't have homework" he said smiling.

Billie rolled her eyes. "You would if you ever went to your classes. I don't know how you get good grades" she mumbled to herself. "I don't have homework either I'm just trying to help Virgil with his" she said. With that Billie sat back down on the couch and picked up Virgils book and looked at his homework again. She took out a pencil and began writing on his book. She stopped and looked at him. "Read the underlined parts and when your done then just touch your wand to the pages that have writing on them and it will disapper" she said and continued to underline and make different marks on his book.

Leah sat down by Pete.  She pulled her bookbag off of her shoulder and pulled out a textbook and a peice of parchment.  She dug around for a quill and found one at the bottom of her bag.  She sighed, *Snape is making us write a full peice of parchment, both sides, on how to tell if a potion is done or not.  It's so stupid! We haven't even learned that yet!*

"Potions all together is stupid" Billie said as she looked up from Virgil's homework. Her eyes hurt from reading the small text, but she just sat there and closed her eyes for a few moments then opened them. "Is this going to help you Virgil?" she asked showing him the marks she had made on his book. She hoped it did, because she wasn't sure how else she could explain this work. It was beginner stuff, and she hadn't spent much time of it.

Virgil looked at Billie, as it seemed to very easy to do, once she explained it that way, before he turned and looked towards Leah that had soon entered the Common Room.  "Hey Leah!  I haven't seen you in a while, how are you?" he said before looking back to Billie and saying "Ha, Billie, now I understand it, well mostly.  Thanks." with a smile, as he would have never gotten this otherwise.

Billie smiled and handed Virgils book back to him. "No problem" she said. Once she got started on it it was pretty easy. Billie started to think to herself. *Wow I was actually nice, that surprises me* she said and laughed softly to herself. She was in a good mood and was happy about everything that had happened today. "So anyone else need any help with anything?" she asked.

Leah flipped open her textbook and searched for the right section.  She found it, and began to read.  She began to scribble on the parchment, her writing loose, but still neat.
