((NEW MOON.))

Sky,
I am so sorry for doing that. I thought you knew that I was still pretending to spy for the Death Eaters. I haven`t figured out how to get out of that situation yet, and I figured that you knew what was going on. I didn`t tell you, and I apologize for that. I`m also sorry for killing those men. I hope you understand why I did it-- we couldn`t take the chance that they would tell whoever`s higher up than them. I didn`t mean for it to hurt you the way it did, and I didn`t think before I acted.

I really am sorry, and I love you. I think it might be better if we stayed away from each other for a while. I`m too much of a target now, and I don`t want to put you in danger.

I`m sorry.
               -Jason

I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Sky

((T_T))

Sky read the note five more times, each time more painful than the last. He left. He was gone and suggested that they not see each other for awhile. What did that even mean? She didn't want him to go. She wanted him here, to hold her and tell her it would all be okay. She loved him. Didn't that mean they would deal with stuff like that together?

She took a deep breath and folded the paper back before sitting down on the couch, placing the note beside her. Jake had come running to her and jumped on her lap. Sky held him close and stared at the finger with The Promise Ring.

Jason was still trying to Protect her. And that made Sky want to cry again.

((Where do you want to go from here?))

Jason sat on a double decker bus, his forehead resting against the window. He felt terrible for leaving. The farther he got away from Sky the sicker he felt. His eyes were red and he just looked tense. There was an open seat beside him, but even as people got on no one took it. Despair seemed to pulse from him.

He didn`t know what to do.

What was he supposed to do? If he went back, he posed a risk to Sky. More Death Eaters could pop up at any time. They already destroyed part of her house, and they could have done a lot worse. He didn`t really feel bad about killing the two men, he was just furious at himself for the look on Sky`s face-- the look he had caused.

((Yes, I am double posting.))

Jason was leaning against the side of a telephone booth. His light brown was falling into his light grey eyes. The phone was pressed to his ear, and his breath was fogging up the inside of the booth.

The phone rang, and rang, and rang. He was trying to call Sky. He had been calling when he thought she might be home, but she never answered. He had tried every night for a week now, and he was starting to get worried. Had more Death Eaters shown up and attacked? What had happened?

"Come on, Sky, pick up," He mumbled into the reciever.

Sky

"Hold on!" Sky yelled, though she knew the phone wouldn't hear. It kept ringing. Sky was standing in the kitchen, just setting Jake's bowl of dogfood on the ground before rushing to the receiver.

"Hello?" Sky said into the phone. Her voice was gloomy, yet it held a faint glimmer of hope somewhere. The entire week she had avoided her house, only coming by to sleep and to let Jake eat. She walked him everywhere and they spent hours in a local park, just watching the tree's rattle their bare branches.

"Sky?"

Her name escaped his lips before he could stop it. "Oh, God, Sky, I thought something had happened." He knew he didn`t have to tell her who it was-- she would know. He stood up straighter, his hand wrapped around one of the decorative poles holding the phone case up.

Sky

Sky sat down on a chair, holding the receiver as close as she could to her ear.

"I'm alright Jason. Everything's fine. Nobody has been here but Jake and I." She looked down at the pup, who was busy engulfing his kibble. She smiled but then frowned.

"We need to talk." She said softly. "Please. Come back. Come back home."

Jason leaned back against the side of the phone booth. What was he supposed to say to that?

"Sky, I want to, believe me, but I don`t want to put you in danger. Technically I`m still an active Death Eater. There`s too much that could happen, and I don`t want you to get hurt."

Sky

Sky sighed, frustrated.

"Whether my mark is there or not, Jason, I'm still one of them. I'm a Death Eater too whether I want to be or not. Just because that mark is no longer visable on my skin doesn't mean it isn't there." Sky touched her arm with her hand. And closed her eyes.

"I think...It's coming back."

potter_fan122

"Please enter another half pound for three more minutes." An automated voice said in Jason`s ear.

"D@mmit." He mummured, shoving his hand in his pocket. "It`s coming back?" He asked, almost dropping the phone. "It shouldn`t be doing that, Sky, not after how you burned it off.

"You have fifteen seconds left before your call disconects."

"Sky, love, I`m coming back ho--" He was cut off before he could finish, and he pulled his hand out of his pocket, having only full pounds, no halves.

Sky

Sky hung up the phone and held her hand to her arm. Her skin had been tingling lately where the Mark was, but she never told him. Sometime's it burned when she slept. She felt scared.

What if it came back? If someone found out, she could go to court and lose her job. She could be sent to Azkaban. Or worse.

She shook her head and stood up to make a pot of tea.

Three hours later Jason was walking up the street to the house. He had walked almost the whole way, but he didn`t care. He needed to get home. He shouldn`t have left, he saw that now.

Jogging up the steps he knocked on the door, slinging his bag off of his shoulder.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"

Sky

Sky heard the door knock and rushed to the door, pulling it open and embracing Jason as tightly as she could. She breathed in his scent and realized just how must she had missed him in a matter of a week.

"I love you so much." She said, still holding onto him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for running away like I did." She was so happy to see him, she had forgotten the mark issue for now.

Jason dropped his bag as soon as the door opened and wrapped his arms tightly around her. He also took a deep breath, loving the simple smell of her and the way it felt for her to hug him.

"I love you, too, Sky. And I`m sorry for leaving. I shouldn`t have done that. I should`ve stayed." He squeezed her tightly before leaning back and kissin gher forhead then his lips.

Sky

"I shouldn't have reacted that way. I should have known what was coming. And I doubted you. That was wrong." She kissed him back on the lips and then rested her head on his chest, listening to his heart beat within.

"I'm scared." She whispered.
