"Hey, Mia, what's the answer to question number eleven?" whispered James at her right, and during a test!  So she just ignored him.

"Mia!  I know you hear me and I know you know the answer!"

"James!  Be quiet!  I'm not telling you!  I don't want to get into more trou-"

"Miss Rame!  Talking during a test?  I presume you were telling Mr. Potter-" It was still weird to here that "-because he is looking intently at you.  Or maybe the soon-to-be married boy fancies other girls!"

"No, sir.  I wasn't cheating.  And it was rude of rude to make an assumption like that about James when you know that it isn't true."  That remark landed her another ten points off Gryffindor for her smart mouth.  What's going on with me?  Is Ron right?  She thought.  The rest of the period went okay.  She knew she aced the test.

But once the bell rang, Hermione bolted out of the classroom and then walked as fast as she could to the Great Hall for lunch.

"Hey, Mia!  Wait up!" James yelled behind her.  Hermione stopped and turned abruptly, colliding with him.

"Oof" is what came out of both their mouths, and Hermione left out another once she hit the ground.

"Sorry," she mumbled rubbing her head.

"You should really watch were you're going, Rame."  It wasn't James' voice.  It sounded an awful lot like-

"-Malfoy!"

"Yes, that's Me." he said grinning evilly down on her.  James then saw Malfoy and came rushing over.  He helped her up, then bent back down to collect her books.  Just as James wasn't paying attention to what was above him, Lucius Malfoy leaned into Hermione and whispered in her ear, "You'd better watch your back, Rame," putting a lot of emphasis on her made-up last name, "I know who you and that red-headed twirp really are."  His tone sent a chill down her spine and made the little hairs on her neck stand on end.  Before Malfoy left, he gave Hermione another one of the classic Malfoy smirks at the sight of her face, seemingly pleased with her reaction.  She didn't know what her face had shown, but it was exactly what he wanted it to show, she knew that.

James got up and put her books back in her bag.

"Are you okay, Mia?  Did he do anything to you?  Does some nose breaking need to happen?" The great thing about the Marauders was that they knew exactly when to get dirty.  They had become like older brothers to her (save Sirius), and became very protective of her.

Hermione just smiled at his caring and shook her head.  "No, It's okay." Mental note: *see Ron immediatley!!*

The walk to the Great Hall was uneventful.  James had found Remus and they started talking to each other, leaving Hermione alone to think.

Malfoy!  That cunning, conniving little snake!  How did he find out who we really are?  No one knows besides Dumbledore and us.  I know that Ron isn't stupid enough to go telling everyone.  And we've never said our... Hermione gasped and stopped walking.  Both James and Remus looked back at her.

"Is everything okay?" Asked Remus.  Is everyone gonna ask me if I'm okay today? She rolled her eyes at herself.

"E-everything is f-fine," she stuttered.  Neither of the boys looked convinced, but let it slide.

Was it possible that Malfoy was listening to their conversation earlier today?  No one was in the corridor, though.  But knowing a Slytherin, he was probably hiding in the shadows.  Darn him!  Now he can black mail us, and I know he will!  Hermione power walked to the Great Hall, passing James and Remus.  Once she got there, she looked for where Ron was sitting.  And... ah!  There he was at the edge of the table with... Perfect!  An empty spot right next to him.  She hurried, and not for the first time that day, to the seat next to him and plopped down.  Now Hermione was exceedingly tired.  She sighed.  Oh well.

She leaned into Ron and whispered in his ear, "Ned, Malfoy knows about us.  We need to talk as soon as possible."  Ron's eyes widened and nodded.  

He leaned back into her and whispered back, "Okay, we'll talk once you get back from your detention... In the common room." Then Ron went back to eating and Hermione made her plate.

If 'Ned' and 'Mia' hadn't wore such dead-serious faces, then Sirius Black, sitting two seats down, would have gotten a few ideas about the two... They did make a cute looking couple after all.  

The rest of lunch went on without a hitch, and afterwards, it was back to classes.

OMG Shui u absolutely hafta update this ASAP! Or I might start crying again... *runs off crying* JUST KIDDING! lol. Ok well... I think those acting classes are getting to me...
